I drove a 1978 F-150 through University and it had a single bench seat and a full-size box and it was positively tiny compared to modern trucks.
Leaning on the truck box BS’ing and having a smoke with the guys was a common thing. Now I can’t even see what’s in the box never mind leaning over it!

Back in the say when I owned an STI I would get these WRX and STI driver waves and it was super awkward because I don't know them and waving to strangers while driving isn't my thing nor did I care to be part of the stereotypical Subaru flat brim hat culture. Being a Canadian though I would oblige at times or pretend I didn't see them and ignore.
I didn't know this was a culture associated with Subaru's.
Perhaps they associated you with the other, more well-known, Subaru culture.

Stealing gas is my guess. There was a huge puddle under the truck so I did a quick check underneath. The gas cap was removed and there is about 1/2 inch hole drilled into the front corner of the gas tank. I assume they drilled the hole and opened the gas cap to let it siphon quickly. It was a full tank so what ever they didn’t catch drained o to the ground.
Thanks. I thought it was a leak of some sort and I did a quick google search and drilled gas tank is what came up. I had never heard of that either. The tow truck driver said it’s becoming more common.

Some ####### drilled into my gas tank last night. What a mess and expense I get to clean up now.
Strangely enough, I've been hearing this more and more.
The first person who told me about this, I thought he was BSing me and just hit a rock or something...but then more and more people started mentioning it happening to them.
