Wow. If he thinks that changing coaches isn't an answer then I guess we will have to pin our hopes on Shapo.

Also, Medvedev has behaved very poorly in his past two matches in Monte Carlo (lost to Khachanov earlier today). Berating umpires and this frisbee throw could have really hurt someone.

I'm getting a little tired of his diva act. Whenever things don't go his way he really pouts.

indeed the Meddy outburst was unacceptable. Also true is that once again clay line calling is pathetic and puts it far behind the other surfaces. I am so over watching players and umps pointing and yelling at marks on the ground. They need to put together an information campaign to educate everyone about the difference between clay marks and the electronically detected contact point. Or just use one of those live slow mo video systems for clay for people that insist on seeing it with their eyeballs.

In my opinion, at this point, you need to trust the Hawk-Eye technology (even for clay as the technology has gotten much better since it was first introduced). We need to stop the quibbling between players and umpires over ball marks and let the technology be the final decision maker.

That's what makes clay, clay. I don't want all tournaments and grand slams to be the same, stop neutering tennis!
That said, we need a grass Masters 1000, even if it's optional like Monte Carlo. Tell those boobs at Wimbledon to move the tournament back two weeks.

Clay already is distinct enough without this unneeded drama of arguing over ball marks. I do like the Masters 1000 for grass tourney idea, though.

What makes clay, clay is dirty socks and longer rallies, not players arguing over ball marks. You think people actually tune into clay tournaments to see players like Medvedev act like a child?

Rune pushed Sinner hard today, but the Italian held his nerve and broke late in set 3 and then consolidated to advance to the semi-finals.

lol Clay Tennis: Dirty Socks and Long Rallies is a great tagline.
Way more than I thought Rune would get today considering the 6 long ass sets he had to play yesterday. Sinner's fanbase is also getting a bit out of control and the ump somehow punished Holger for it. And that's not even mentioning the bad tiebreak overrule that luckily didn't end up mattering.

I think the Italians care more about this tourney than the one held in Rome. Short trip for the Sinner fanbase.

Oikos and Sinner are going three sets - Stef should have broken Jannik to extend set 2 just now (had five break points in a marathon game), but couldn't get it done.
Edit: And then Oikos plays a terrible service game to open set 3 and Sinner breaks. That could prove to be very costly.

A terrible missed call by both the linesperson and umpire as Sinner should be serving at 5-1. Instead, Stef holds and Sinner is only up a single break serving at 4-2.

It should have been 5-1 with Sinner serving however we are back on serve at 4-4
Edit: Oikos takes it 6-4 3-6 6-4. That lifeline he was handed on that bad missed call on break-point earlier in the set proved to very pivotal.

clearly an adaptation of Fox Glow Puck is the answer. I did like Fed's blue clay performance though that year.

Dirty socks, long rallies, terrible officiating. Experience clay tennis!
