If JVR costs a 3rd round pick or later I would be okay with that. I want to give Pelletier a long look with Kadri and Huberdeau before going elsewhere for a player of that caliber however

He's a guy in his early 30s who's already one of the 2 or 3 most respected insiders in the NHL today. Do we really have to read you blowing a gasket every time a Seravalli rumor is shared. get over it. he's going to keep being quoted and his rumors are going to keep being shared.

Seravalli does seem like a click-baiter...early 30s! he looks a lot older than that
this is a rumors thread though so 99% of what is said here will be BS so I agree his rumors should be shared

Well I didn't check his date of birth but if you looked at him and guessed his aged mid 30's would not come up.

I just realized the Flames/Blues rumors are most likely about Barbashev because I highly doubt Tarasenko would wave his NMC to go to Canada

Wish they'd just clone Bob McKenzie and stuff the rest of the numpty hacks away back in the press closet. Actually LeBrun can stay too.

not a rumour, just random wondering by Brooks

I wouldn't say he's a respected insider. He throws things out there and hopes it sticks.

Trading Lucic would be an amusing FU from Tre to Sutter if he is indeed on his way out

He also has a NTC and may not want to disrupt his family.
I suspect he triggered his NTC during the off-season to block a potential trade, which instead lead to the Monahan deal.

If he's fully onboard with the role, I wouldn't even mind him coming back on a one year deal as the 13th forward next year.

I don’t get JVR at all. Often injured. 33 years old. Obvious decline. Was a goal scorer but not really scoring goals.

It's not my top pick but I can see it.
24 goals last year, 21 points in 31 this year. If he's 3rd round pick cheap then it's a decent option but his playoff stats is basically a face plant (<0.5 points per game).
