I just got a new head unit installed in my car that has vastly increased the musical capabilities of said vehicle. My old system was okay, but it was a bit antiquated - no Aux, no bluetooth, and while it did MP3 Cd's it was a relatively small screen so navigating folders was a pain. As a result I basically just used actual, old-school audio CD's, one album per disc, in the CD changer.
But no more. Now I have lots of ways to make sound come out of my driving apparatus. In conjunction with this most glorious occasion, I am looking for new music to listen to. I turn to you, CP, bastion of occasional tidbits of useful cultural insight.
Used to be I'd either get suggestions or go through "Best of 20XX" lists and pick things out and download them, and maybe 1/4 tries, I'd find an album I liked. But It's been slim pickings lately. So I need some pointers to find the diamonds in the significant volume of rough.
For context, here are the things I will have playing in my car on a regular basis. If you can read this list and think "he will like X", tell me about X, and I will be in your debt.
