I hated the Korok seeds. The cut scene for those should have been abbreviated after you collected a dozen or so.

Fair point. I read about the 900... i'll just collect enough to max out my inventory slots. haha. I have 15 from just looking for Shrines. I'm pretty much done the south half of the map for shrines, and now working my way north

It’s no surprise that this game has stayed in, or near, the top 10 on the E-Shop sales chart since it was released. It’s the perfect game for Switch. You can pick up and play for a few minutes or you can easy spend hours on your farm, or fishing, or mining, or foraging, or visiting the townspeople, etc.
I’m waiting for the next update to start a new farm. I expect I’ll put another 100 hours into it, easily.

Switch Lite comes out tomorrow. I'm actually probably going to pick one up. Partially because the reviewers are raving about it as a true handheld, but also because while I haven't had any of the Joycon issues other people have, I do have a bit of a problem where part of my regular Switch's screen sometimes doesn't quite work - in a thin line right where it meets the dock.
A tad irritating, but since it still works perfectly fine on TV, and is good 95% of the time on handheld, the easiest solution is to just get a Lite for when I want off-screen play.

This game from an ownership point of view is hilarious.
A ton of people have played it, but the game always seems relatively forgotten. However, the moment it's remembered again, a ton of gamers are excited to experience it again and pour a ton of time into it.
It's also a game where like a third of everyone who has ever played it owns it on multiple game platforms. Acquiring it on multiple platforms is often considered an exciting excuse to start over and play through again.

Not yet, but thinking that will be a stop on my way home. We're a bit of a Zelda household, so it is a matter of "when" and not "if".

I will later today.
EB Games has a decent trade in deal for those interested.
Trade in 2 games and get it free. Games only have to be $15 in TIV.
Value's can be found here. https://www.ebgames.ca/tradevalues
I'm probably going to trade in Doom and Dark Souls remastered - have played both multple times and they are getting up there in age now and are usually available for really cheap on the other systems anyways.

I’m still working through Three Houses but I have a voucher left so I’ll probably use it to get Link’s Awakening eventually.

I got in on Walmart's $65 pre-order. But that means I won't get it until Sunday or Monday. Which I'm alright with, since I'm still finishing up Fire Emblem.

Thank you very much for this. I called Northland EB Games because I only have one game aboive the threshold that I want to unload (Mario + Rabbids, $20 TIV) and she confirmed that would get me $40 off of Link's Awakening, making the final price $40 plus tax.
So even if you have one game to trade in, it might be worth it. Especially when Mario + Rabbids isn't selling on Kijiji, and I think I am only asking $25.
Sincerely - thank you. You've saved me $40. And the girl at Northland said that they still have 50+ copies, and the promotion goes to the 25th or 26th I believe.

Also, I have a $65 dollar preorder coming next week from Walmart for Links Awakening. If anyone didn't preorder and doesn't have 2 $15 games, let me know. I plan to just return it.

I got it,
It looks (graphics) really good with a small toy feel.
I have not played the original but did just play Link to the Past on switch and the two games are very similar in terms of puzzle and enemies.

Link's Awakening is great -- love the design, visually very nice, remastered music is excellent. I'm about half way through and having a great time.
But...
It might be the worst optimized Nintendo first party game I've played in a long time. Frame rate absolutely chugs basically everywhere in the overworld, and even a bit in the dungeon areas too. There's really not that much going on so I'm not sure why. That's been disappointing to me as it's very distracting from an otherwise excellent product.
Also, it seems like a pretty brisk play through. Like I'm barreling through it and only expecting maybe 12 hours of play time. Just something to keep in mind, not a lot of meat for an $80 game even if it is really good.

I'm still waiting on my Walmart copy to arrive. But since I just finished the Black Eagle house on Fire Emblem tonight and won't have much time to play until next weekend, the timing is pretty much perfect.
Also picked up a Switch Lite. Damn thing is *tiny* compared to the original.

Yeah I'm very surprised at the little things that make the frame rate struggle. How does displaying the zone area name on the screen need to cut the framerate so badly? Why does staying on the pause screen for more than 5 seconds cause a framerate drop?
