I have one hanging in my closet, it has the SJ patch on the shoulders..

And wow those sheriff jerseys are terrible.. But it sounds like the area is stoked to be getting the team, which bodes well for the Flames' prospects.

Hopefully the duck will be on the shoulds or something, instead of an actual flaming mallard right in the middle of the jersey.

Okay...

So is it the plural "Quad Cities" or the singular "Quad City"? I've seen both used interchangably. What's the official name of this here burgh?

I think those flames in the background might be hard to reproduce on embroidered twill.

Yep if you didn't know , they were responsible for these creative "jerseys"
That would be my picture

The Mallards raised somewhere in the neighborhood of $60,000 with those ... and they were quite possibly the ugliest jerseys in the history of mankind.

With that said -

Go Flames!

Scott Mullen, executive director of The Mark of the Quad-Cities, said the arena tentatively has agreed to spend nearly $600,000 to make capital improvements, including expanding the ice rink’s length from 185 to 197 feet while also purchasing a new ice-making system and remodeling lockerrooms.

Kind of odd that such a new building has substandard ice making and non NHL sized ice?

I guess this would be the unimaginative Flaming Q derivitative.

It's not exactly a new building, probably 13 years old or so. It was never designed for hockey, and the ice making gear they have now is the "portable" kind. It's not in the floor, but sits on top of it.

I just hope that they don't do anything that involves both a mallard and flames. We will never hear the end of it!

I'd prefer something along these lines, maybe a little more refined.

That was driving me kind of crazy during the Fan960 interview I listened to online. The geographic location would be "the Quad Cities." We would say, "I'm heading back to the Quad Cities." The Fan960 guy kept saying stuff like "what's the travel time to Quad Cities?" Anyway... As far as naming things, sometimes they use it plural, sometimes not. Quad City Times, Quad City Images, etc, whereas other things will be "Swing of the Quad Cities" (our minor league baseball team) or whatever.

I'd say that flaming Q logo would be more likely to be a flaming QC.

Also, I hope everyone realizes that those "western" jerseys were for a special occasion, and not what the Mallards usually wear.

Not to mention anything involving flaming snot out of the nostrils. Ducks don't have nostrils, do they?

Hmm...I think it needs a cowboy hat painted to the helmet.
