I’d also like to add 2004 was 18 years ago. The Lightning have since rebuilt their team, rebranded, and moved on. Time to give up the grudge.
Toronto is way more annoying than Tampa at this point. I don’t like Tampa, but I don’t hate them to the point that I’d cheer for the Leafs over them either. Not in this day and age.

And Tampa just won two cups. Kinda doesn’t matter if they advance anymore unless it was a rematch vs us. Two cups in a row, or three cups in a row. Makes no difference to me compared to Leaf success.

I don’t hate or dislike the leafs at all, nor do I cheer for them. However, if the flames don’t win, I have no problem cheering for them to win it all, since Gio and Brodie are there.

Toronto isn't a rival though. Also, Toronto doesn't have the most repugnant organizational culture in the NHL. I have no strong negative feelings for them.

The Panthers will need to be much better against whoever wins this series. They didn't look dominant against a middling Caps team.
This series between TB and TO is high level hockey.
