The Owen's Reigns match to me bordered on 5 star til the end, it feels like an audible.
I didn't mind the Carmella match, I mean frankly she was a transitional challenge, it was never going anywhere, and now we get what should be an exceptional wrestlemania match probably between Belair and Banks, with Banks playing the heel.
More on the Yoko special, its hard not to remember how good of a worker he was and how athletic he was for a guy that heavy. I mean Bret made him look like a million bucks in their wrestlemania match, but Yoko could hang with the smaller faster guys and match power with bigger guys.

Are they saying the original plan was for Bret to beat Yoko the first time? And then it got switched to the stupid Hulk run in after the match for him to get the belt?
That first Bret Yoko match was Ok, other than the ending obviously. While it was extremely satisfying to see Bret win the belt at Wrestlemania X, the match with Yoko was pretty bad. Bret had no offense whatsoever other than a bulldog maybe? I was always kind of disappointed in that.
That's exactly what they're saying, Hogan basically convinced Vince to call a last minute audible based on a promise that Hogan made that if he got the belt, they could do one final champions tour with him, and then he'd pass the torch, which by the way he never did.
I always thought that first Yoko Bret match was pretty decent, the second one not so good.
The ending of Yoko was sad, When you look at how highly everyone thought of him, and they couldn't stop him from eating himself to death. Very sad.

Never posted last night, but in our annual Rumble pool in the Women's Rumble I had picks: (4) Billie Kay, (8) Jillian Hall, and (11) Peyton Royce; in the Men's Rumble match I had: (17) Daniel Bryan, (20) Otis, and (30) Brawn Strowman.
Decent picks for the men's match, but no winners. We divide the pool money: 37.5% to the winners and 25% to who has the most eliminations of both matches combined.
I lost on all fronts.
Regardless, it was entertaining. Haven't watched a PPV since last year's Rumble, and enjoyed it more with the Thunderdome than having the entrants come out of the dugout like the last 2 years.

I just find Billie Kay to be extremely amusing. The original plan was for the WWE to put their muscle behind Peyton for a push, she had a more marketable look and is a bit more talented in the ring (Though she still comes across as really green at times). But Billie really took the headshot stuff and ran with it.
I didn't see Jillian coming, I was expecting Melina, or Eva Marie to make an appearance. Jillian was never the most talented worker.
On the men's side, Carlito made an impact, I wonder if this is an MVP return? The guy was always super talented, but a bit of a head case.
I had an expectation of some sort of Fiend hint or return, but the Alexa Bliss stuff was wasteful. It could have been smart, I did like the other girls ganging up on her because she's a very real threat and throwing her out. I think it would have been cool after they threw her out, if she went out as playhouse Alexa but when the girls did the gloat pose she stood up as Fiend Alexa and gave them the stare of death.
With the miraculous healing of Orton's burns (why do they do shyte like this, I mean really) it kind of leaves the Fiend with nothing to do as Orton will probably resume his mini feud with Edge for a few weeks.
This Rumble was developed by HHH and the writing team and to me it was pretty mediocre.

ECPW brought him in for a show two summers ago? There abouts. Man he was disinterested. Sat in the corner of the dressing room didn't say much. Had no desire to be there at all.
He was fine in the ring, but usually when they bring in former WWE guys they're excited to be there (or pretend to be). Will chat with the young indy guys, and ham it up for the fans.
Carlito was basically there, got his cheque and left. I was excited to ask him about working on Glow (as I have a fairly big celebrity crush on Alison Brie). He was so disinterested in everyone I didn't talk to him at all.

I really enjoy Alexa's work because she's so all in. She's so much fun to watch and probably one of the better pure character workers in WWE.
I think I've figured it out, there's normal Alexa and she's trapped, thats why you saw her sobbing and scared last week and thinking she was still Nicki's friend this week. You get funhouse Alexa who is actually Bray. Then there's Sister Abigal Alexa who's actually the Fiend.
I actually whipped through three hours of Raw tonight in about 45 minutes. I watched the Edge and Orton stuff, the second matchup with the Hurt Business, The woman's tag battle though I hate the Flair stuff. Alexa's match with Nicki and the RO vs Edge match. I couldn't fast forward through the Miz bad Bunny stuff fast enough.
It sounds like Vince hasn't been around for a while.

I would have loved to have heard JRs real comments for that wedding. Absolutely atrocious. WWE did more to put over Rusev/Miro over. He should go crawling to WWE and go back to being Lashley's ####old.
