Got stuck in a time warp clicking on an old thread page and couldn't help but sift through them.
Thought this one was entertaining. Detroit got roasted for making this deal...doesn't look so bad now!

Lol, speaking of old comments. Classic.

And yet I'd be willing to bet the Isles will finish at least 10 points ahead of the Wild this year...

The best part was calling him Hrdina.

And now they're both in the Leafs organization, with Jarry the likely CPHL starter and Hutch the likely AHL #1.

The Carolina Hurricanes acquired Jinny Vesey from the New York Islanders in a deal that also saw the two franchises exchange picks. The Islanders receive 2020 3rd (Pit) round pick while the Hurricanes receive a 2021 4th (van) round section joining Vesey
This deal brings the Hurricanes reshaping of the bottom six to a conclusion as the Canes spent the last week building a line of
Markus Sorensen - Adam Lowry - Jinny Vesey
The Hurricanes turn their focus to the upcoming draft on Saturday
Thanks to Scorpion for the talks as always

To PIT:
Nikita Zadorov
2 mill in cap
to CGY:
PIT 1st 2022
Deal took about 15 seconds to negotiate. Zadorov is a bit pricey but I had to send cap in the trade. I liked him in my top 4 but D was a position of strength and we are focused on continuing to add picks for the future.

Kevin Hayes to Calgary for Phil Grubauer and $1.5 million
This move comes after I moved Matt Murray, Robertson and a 22 2nd for Hayes. I'm not a fan of Murray at all and I think Grubauer is a stellar goaltender so that's a big upgrade for me, probably worth a 2nd. Plus I get additional cap on top of it.
Thanks to Ravi for the deal. Thrilled to be one step closer to signing Pavel Francouz.

Norm!

To Calgary Nico Hischier (70)
To St Louis JT Miller (78) + 5.150 in cap space.
Why I did it
I hated trading Hischier, I think he's a good young center and cost controlled. However I like Miller who can play C and RW which gives me some flexibility. Sim numbers wise he's a 75 defensively with 801 sc 85 passing and 82 puck handling. He's also a 84 ck and 83 skating.
I can use him to shore up the right side, or play him as a second line center depending. Also the cap space still allows me to sign Ovie up as well but that announcement will come on free agent day
Thanks for the fun talks Mikka
