Commercials you can't stand!

I think it's Volkswagen's campaign with the little brats whose parents would give them whatever they wanted when they threw a tantrum, so now they're grown men who think that's the only way to get their way -- but not when you're buying a Volkswagen.

That car commercial with the magic wand really bugs me for one reason: the last scene where the guy teleports himself into the girls' car, the girls' reaction doesn't change. They just keep staring at the same spot. Are they blind? Do they have incredibly slow reflexes? Couldn't the director have told them to act surprised (or at least acknowledge) that a guy just appeared on the seat between them?

Those ridiculous Lux Windows commercials on the radio drive me freakin nuts. Maybe remotely amusing ten years ago when they first aired, not even close now..

Plus that crappy music is playing, then they show the guy touching the stereo and nothing happens. I still hope the song will change every time the guy reaches for the knob.

The commercial that is grinding my gears lately is the one for Telus Optik TV where the smug frenchshowerbag is demonstrating the PVR and realizes he just installed TV for the guy who "invented" sliced bread.

#1. Even if the dude popped out of the womb and skipped all the bakery experience to invent "sliced bread" he'd be 83 years old as presliced bread was first sold in 1928..

#2. Assuming #1 is correct and the guy invented "sliced bread" he is asked by smug frenchshowerbag if he invented croutons. The guy didn't invent the concept of slicing bread, he invented the selling of machine pre-sliced bread!

Mostly I want to punch the smug frenchshowerbag in the face for being a knownothing twit.
