Default McDavid's Next Team - Where Would He Actually be Fun to Watch?

If McDavid does get traded, where would you guys actually enjoy seeing him play?

Having a generational Canadian talent wasting away in Edmonton does bring a certain amount of joy to Flames fans... but as fans of hockey, it's no doubt a waste of entertainment. Pittsburgh has been a great place for Crosby to play, as there's no real rivalry people in Canada are invested in. If a team needs to come out of the East, I'm more than happy to see Crosby have a run at the Cup if it wasn't going to be the Flames. Ovechkin in Washington has been great too.

So where would you actually like to see McDavid go? I'm assuming all options are open, as most teams would be willing to put anything on the table to acquire Connor.

Personally, I'd love to see him on the Red Wings or Flyers.

I've always had a soft spot for the Wings as their barn has always been a fun place to be as a visiting fan, and it's odd that they aren't great anymore. They belong back in the playoffs, and McDavid would be fun to watch on a good team with a legacy.

The Flyers are another team that I'd love to see doing well, and the Crosby vs McDavid is something I'm eager to see more and more of. Flyers vs Penguins games would be must-watch games, and the Flyers fans would be entertainment on their own.

I am firmly in the 'McDavid will forever be an Oiler' camp, but if the masses are right (and won't hockey be much better for it?) what jersey would you actually like to see him wear?

Philly deserves him after having to watch Crosby dance around for over a decade.

Arizona. Although they're still in our division (until Seattle?), it would add more misery to Oiler fans if McDavid could take a perennial bottom-dweller like the Coyotes and make them into an upper-echelon team.

if any move were to ever happen, you'd have to think it would 100% be to an Eastern team.

I don't want him anywhere he would be a threat to us winning, so Edmonton is perfect.

Would that really be a threat to ending Crosby’s dominance over the Flyers? I don’t see McDavid doing a lot to shut him down. Crosby is a monster.

He would be extremely marketable in Montreal or New York.

I don't see him moving for a while though and by the time he does, critical development will probably be stunted by the Oilers.

I wouldn't mind seeing him Columbus or Minny. I think those fanbases have been pretty loyal, and deserve to see an elite player on their team.

Edit: Buffalo would be awesome just so they can troll the Leafs.

I want the wings to suffer longer after their run of success. The bluejackets or rangers would work.
