Default Feb 6 Practice Notes. Hamonic, Hathaway return. Gaudreau, Prout maintenance day

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
As expected, Travis Hamonic taking part in practice this morning. He missed Sunday in Carolina with a lower body injury, but could be available for tomorrow vs. SJ.

Garnet Hathaway also practicing after missing yesterday. No Gaudreau or Prout this morning. #Flames

It's weird how they've played two games in what feels like eons, yet we seem to be more banged up than before the break began.

Prout was solid against the Canes...I'm glad we have someone with his toughness who can step in from time to time.

But the odd thing is, Peters never puts him in against tough teams. He really just treats Prout as an extra defensemen who only plays when there's an injury.

Don't want to question Peters decisions, but it is odd.

I don’t understand the hate for Prout. He’s the Flames 9th best d-man. I’d hazard a guess that he stacks up favourably against most other teams 9th best defender.

He also adds toughness and has bought into a role of being a scratch most nights.

I know you’re being funny, but to nip this in the bud he shut it down at dinner break.
