Things would not be pretty. The hate would be Brouwer bad or worse. The contract is worse than Brouwer's, the production is worse as well. Winning helps everything.
But once the playoffs start though, every game is important and if he's still playing like this, he'll get roasted. A lot of people are holding out hope that he'll shine there, but I'm very skeptical. He's no Danny Briere. His production doesn't typically skyrocket in the playoffs, it just sort of stays the same and matches his regular season scoring rate, which could look bad based on this season's totals.
