The Flames record this season with Frolik in the lineup: 12-9-1
The Flames record this season without Frolik in the lineup: 11-3-3
I'm sure if there was a trade market for him, Treliving was exploring it. This isn't going to help.

Walsh wouldn’t have done this without talking to Frolik, or at Frolik’s request.
Frolik strikes me as the perfect candidate in a move as the cap going the other way for us to acquire a better player. Frolik + 1st + prospect for something new and shiny?

I like Frolik. So he wants to play? Good. Not seeing why the knee jerk "he needs to be traded comments." Sounds like a guy ready to get in and prove he should stay in the lineup. The way the agent framed it is typical union/agent BS though. We should want people that want to play on this team. he's done nothing but give an honest effort. Why is it that the guys that say nothing get applauded and the guy that's hungry to play is the bad guy. "Coach put me in I'm ready to go" better than "yep I'm a sort of passable player and I'm happy to collect my salary even if it's from the bench." Get him in there and let him prove he should be playing. If not then you do trade him.

This kind of sucks. I like Frolik and feel he would be a very important depth player going into the playoffs. He is one of those utility players that can play up and down the line up and score some goals here and there.
I hope that they can work things out and we can keep Frolik for the rest of the season.
If Peters really is keeping him out of the line-up for anything other than the injury and is "pushing him out", I would have to really question why. From an outside perspective, I wouldn't get it. Frolik has always seemed like a hard worker and pleasant guy.

Michael Frolík could and would be more than adequate at RW on the 1st line. (If he was ever given the chance)

Although I could see Frolik being unhappy with the scratches this year, it seems out of character for him to ask his agent to handle the matter through twitter. I think communication with Treliving has been a strong point.
Frolik just wanted to discuss future plans of the team regarding his ice time. Might have been a miscommunication between the player and agent on how to handle the matter.

I’m skeptical there are teams willing to give up value for a guy with another year on his contract at $4 million and who has been healthy scratched a few times.

For the right return, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sent back to one of his former teams, either Winnipeg or Chicago. We know how much the Hawks love re-acquiring players with Cup rings.

Yeah, Frolik is a guy that you would hope to get rid of for a late round pick (aka not having to bring back cap hit). He's not bringing back a good pick or a good player, he's at most bringing you back the removal of his cap hit.
If we could ditch Frolik and Stone's cap hits before next season we would be laughing.

I'd move him for a 3rd round pick. His salary is only $3 million next season so he's tradeable.

Two separate agents have now apparently advocated for more time for their clients that has become public.
Interesting

Him and Stone are the two best roster players to send back to balance salaries in a big ticket acquisition.

You'd likely be looking at a 5th or 6th if it's only a draft pick being traded by the other team as a best case scenario. Otherwise you're bringing back a salary player that's likely in a similar boat to Frolik.

Didn’t Neal or Bennett’s agent say something that got on HNIC’s headlines early in the season?

Czarniks agent IIRC. Asked for a trade to one of the teams who wanted him in the off season if they weren't going to play him.

Czarnik needs to not play another game. Him and Ryan, not sure why they are playing.
