Good write up! Pretty much echos my thoughts. Especially the Neal bit. He barely looks AT ALL like the player was on the Pens, Preds, or Knights. He's slowly coming around. But still sucks he hasn't lived up to his billing. Luckily the rest of the team is masking his deficiencies, so it's not hurting us.

There's me and a lot of Leafs fans. I think I've finally got one of my roommates convinced that Giordano is better than Rielly but he's steadfast in his belief that Marner is better than Gaudreau. We'll get there.
Also a few Sens fans. Poor saps. I've been to a few games at their surprisingly nice arena. Seriously, the CTC isn't a bad building, but it's about as conveniently-located as wisdom teeth. Conversely, the 67s' arena is awesome, one of my new favourite venues. They're pretty good this year, too - that Sasha Chmelevski is one to watch, Sharks prospect.

Just to add to this, that run in 01-02 was at the start of the season. Using the Peter Maher 20 game theory, where the 2nd 20 games is more of an accurate indicator of a team.
01-02 1st 20 games - 13-2-3
.........2nd 20 games - 4-11-5
17-18 1st 20 games - 11-8-1
.........2nd 20 games - 11-2-1 (still 6 games remaining)
The 01-02 team never won more than 7 games in their 20 game segments after that first miracle run.
Night and day difference between the 2 teams.
