Six Feet Under - It wasn't the finale forme. For me it's the last couple episodes of S4, when Nick's wife goes missing and he's searching for her. The entire series was a buildup to that episode. Wasn't a huge fan of the show, but that was one of the most powerful episodes of TV I have ever seen.
The Shield - Last episode. Incredibly traumatizing and messed up finale.
Location: A simple man leading a complicated life....

Have to disagree. A stop at Willoughby
Tired of his miserable job and wife, a businessman starts dreaming on the train each night, about an old, idyllic town called Willoughby. Soon he has to know whether the town is real and fancies the thought of seeking refuge there.
Rod Serling cited this as his favorite story from the first season of the series.

The Clone Wars series was to me awesome. But in the last couple of years it went darker and darker and darker. But one of the darkest Arc's was the best one and it involved the Clone Troopers. In the end, the Jedi General Krell pitted the Clone troopers against each other and when they caught him it was clear that he had fallen to the Dark Side because he foresaw the end of the republic. His final words were so full of menace and malice. But the Umbara arc was so good

Also, very few people have watched Homicide: Life on the Street, but it's the precursor to shows like The Wire (same creator).
One episode that always got me is Three Men and Adena. This is an entire episode that takes place in the interrogation room. Following the death of a young girl that becomes a cold case, the investigators think they have a suspect that they can get a confession out of given enough time. What we saw is a protracted interrogation that results in some revealing information, but nothing concrete enough to produce a conviction. It has some of the best performances I've ever seen on television, especially from Andre Braugher who plays Frank Pembleton.
I'll let you all look up that episode, but just to give you a sample of the kind of show Homicide was, I present this clip of Braugher getting a confession in another case. Such an under appreciated show.
The Simpsons - Marge vs the Monorail, Lemon of Troy (Shelbyville Lemon Tree), A Fish Called Selma (marries Troy McClure featuring Planet of the Apes musical)
Futurama - Parasites Lost, Roswell that Ends Well, Fry and Slurm Factory, The Day the Earth Stood Stupid, 300 Big Boys.
Futurama really was GOLD. Only a couple episodes in the whole run that weren't fantastic.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Frank's Pretty Woman
Frank decides to marry his favourite foul mouthed hooker
Dee gets hooker envy
Mac gets diabetes
Charlie vomits fake blood all over his date
The hooker OD's on crack and dies, so they ditch her body in the hallway of Charlie's slum apartment building, cue Roy Orbison singing "pretty woman", roll credits (mercy)
I had to pause this episode halfway through because I was in physical pain from laughing and had to walk around for a bit to collect myself.
I loved this one episode of a home renovation show where the couple had a budget and then after ripping the house apart, they found out the budget was not high enough
also really enjoyed that episode of ice road truckers where it looked like one of the truckers was going to go thru the ice, and it even seemed more imminent before and after they went to a commercial break; however, surprisingly it worked out ok for the trucker and the camera guy when they came back from break

There's a few IASIP episodes that have had me in stitches.
The Gang Buys a Boat (because of the implication)
The Gang Beats Boggs
The D.E.N.N.I.S. System
A Very Sunny Christmas
Dee Reynolds: Shaping America's Youth (aka The Lethal Weapon 5 episode)

This was one of the first Doctor Who episodes I ever saw and nothing else have ever came close. It's a really good stand alone episode where the Doctor is a minor character and you don't need to know anything about the show.
I watched this episode, and loved it so much, I got my kids to watch it - it’s probably too scary for most kids, including mine. I had a tough time getting my kids to sleep that night.
Simpsons- Marge vs the Monorail, Cape Feare. But almost everything from those seasons is absolute gold.
The Office - Dinner Party, Beach Games, stress Relief part 1.

The Suitcase episode of Mad Men is the best TV I have ever seen. The characters were so deep and rich so it really built on everything that happened before it.
I appreciate the inclusion of classic Trek and Twilight Zone episodes. In addition to the ones noted I loved Piece of the Action and Arena (Trek) and The Hunt, Eye of the Beholder and To serve Man (Twilight Zone)
