Arnold is set for Terminator 5
http://www.rte.ie/ten/2013/0123/schwarzeneggera.html
Quote:
The 65-year-old actor and former California governor has revealed that he will star in the forthcoming instalment of the franchise, reports Bleeding Cool.
Schwarzenegger, who starred in the first three Terminator movies, said that the new film's script should be finished this year and that they have hired some "really quality writers" in the form of Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.

Not a very good Terminator if he had to do the job 5 times.

He mentions in his book that Devito was after him for a Twins sequel before he ran for Governor.. the third brother is rumoured to be Eddie Murphy.
And yes he is doing Conan, this movie will take part mostly in the winter, so there will be very few shirtless scenes.
He is also in a few upcoming action movies like The Last Stand and The Tomb (with Sly Stallone).
He will also return for Expendables 3, along with the original cast plus newly added Nicolas Cage, Jackie Chan and (when released from prison) Wesley Snipes.
I can't get enough of these old action heroes so I welcome these movies.. if you aren't on board with it then don't go see them! Preserve the image you have in your mind of Arnold.. and all will be well.

You're not going to find a bigger Terminator fan out there, but I want nothing to do with a 5th movie.
Let it go. Yes, Salvation wasn't great and left a sour taste but unless James Cameron is attached a new Terminator will never succeed where the first two did.

My first thought when opening this thread was "There was a Terminator 4?"
I totally forgot about that abomination Terminator: Salvation.

Why would you have an obviously old Arnold playing the part of an immortal machine?
Maybe in this movie he'll go back to the factory for a hip replacement. When he said "I'll be back" who thought he meant this?

Am I the only one who thought Salvation was an alright movie? Maybe it's because I went in with zero expecations, but I was still entertained.

The Terminator storyline is so dumb and nonsensical that they better have some really kick-ass action scenes. They won't make sense, but they sure as hell better be fun.

I am going to reserve judgement on this one, because Rambo 4 was the most awesome display of get off my lawn/old man strength rampage ever, and Sly was 62 when they shot it. I was so pumped after I saw that movie I felt like ripping off my shirt and running home 15kms up Macleod Trail in 28 below weather in mid-January after I saw it.
Seriously, who didn't just stare at the screen in awe after they saw this?!! :
Uber violence:
That set off the most violent 15 minutes of carnage I have ever witnessed in a movie theatre. Me and my old man were laughing so hard during that sequence it was so over the top.

Rambo 4 was an awesome movie. Didn't think Sly still had it, but I guess that's what HGH can do.

I liked Salvation too. 3 was not good though.
If they use Arnie as the guy they modeled the terminators after, I could see a storyline that might work. If he's an actual terminator it will be terrible.

I didn't think Terminator: Salvation was an actual numbered Terminator movie. Might be why some don't remember it.

Just stop. 2 was one of favorite movies of all time, walked out of the third when I was in the theatre, only time I've ever done that.

You can't wreck a series, you can just stop watching where you stopped liking it.
I am pretty pumped about this. I have atleast 15 copies (different editions/versions/formats) of T1/T2.
Also, whatever happened to the salvation trilogy?? Has it been dumped for the sappy love fest with the half machine and john?

Man, Salvation is one of my guilty pleasures I guess or I'm just a huge Terminator geek. That movies was actually pretty darn enjoyable. I thought it was really good performances from Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin and Bryce Dallas Howard. It was much much better then T3.
If I had to rate them..
The Terminator - 8.0
Terminator 2 - 9.5
Terminator 3 - 5.5
Terminator Salvation - 7.0
7/10 isn't exactly glowing but it had a lot of good things going for it.
