All six James Bond actors to appear at Oscars?
http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/01/1...es-bond-actors
Quote:
Next month's Academy Awards telecast will include a special segment in honor of the 50th anniversary of James Bond, and the British press are reporting that all six Bond actors -- yes, including the retired and usually reticent Sean Connery -- might appear together for it.
|
Quote:
"Sir Sean has been invited to take to the stage along with Daniel and the other 007s. As yet, we’ve not had a no from him. Normally he is quick to turn things down," claims the paper's alleged Oscar insider. "Sean’s relationship with the Oscars is good and we’re hoping he’ll appear. ... His issues with the Bond producers are not our business and we hope he will overlook that as we pay tribute to what he has done. It would be magnificent to see him up there with the other actors – and quite a coup.”

The Academy Awards airs February 24.

That would be awesome if Connery showed up but i don't think it will happen just for the fact hes said he doesn't want to make anymore public appearances

Maybe, I would imagine he is but man was OHMSS a great Bond movie and Lazenby a good Bond as well. It's a shame he was one and done. His Bond had a grittyness no one had until Craig.

LOL, then why did you comment that David Niven isn't included? Are you hoping they're gonna use a holographic image of him like what they did for Tupac?

oh hell yeah, that would be great.
Maybe it would have been nice to give a tip o the hat to him or at least a mention.
To be clear, I was commenting on his lack of mention in the article. I believe, but might be wrong, that he is the only dead bond.

Just to hear the classic Bond theme is worth it alone. It only makes sense if Connery shows up though, hopefully he does turn the Oscars down.
