They've played atleast a couple. One against Ottawa and another against Florida.

I believe only pre-season games have been played here. Was really disappointing to spend $80+ per tickets to see a top line against the Islanders featuring Dustin Boyd and Eric Nystrom.

The Flames once played a regular season game against against the Minnesota North Stars in Saskatoon and another against Philadelphia in Cincinnati, in which Gary Roberts was seriously injured. Every team played two neutral site games as part of their 84 game schedule in the 1992-93 season.

Each team played two neutral site games per season during the 1992-93 and 1993-94 seasons.

The Flames played two in Saskatoon (one each season), and one each in Phoenix and Cincinnati.

-----

Saskatoon hosted a total of 6 neutral site games those years.

Yeah, I wasn't talking about regular season games. Just games in general.

No black border around the Flaming C...

Could be a big clue that we'll be seeing a return of the retro whites for the game (leading to a full time return in the future, hopefully).

Even though the Flames have worn the retro reds many times in the last decade, they haven't worn the retro whites in a game in a full quarter century.

Considering Winnipeg went with white retros this year (presumably for the Winnipeg white out), there's a good chance the Flames will be wearing red for this game.

That said, if it's the Heritage Classic they'll probably design one-off jerseys, but I'm guessing it will be Winnipeg circa mid-80's versus some variant of the usual red retros.

^ this will be a pretty big game. two huge points on the line and the jets will likely be looking for revenge after the flames beat them again this weekend and possibly bounce them in the playoffs.

Flames have already worn red outdoors, albeit not red retros, and Jets have already worn white.

I’d hope we get to see white retros for the Flames.

You may as well hope for the Flames to wear green. They're not going to interfere with a decade of careful brand management.

I have a feeling that the Jets are going to bust out their 1996 style blue jerseys so they can sell more jerseys in two weeks than the rest of the league for the entire season. Why not have the Flames wear white and get two teams in on the action?

I think you are off here. Winnipeg wore those white jerseys in their last outdoor game against Edmonton.

If I were betting man I would say the Jets get a blue version of their retro and the Flames get a white version of their retro. The Logo seems to indicate this as well.

As long as the Flames don't wear their Ronald McDonald specials like last time I'll be good.

If memory serves me correctly those striped Heritage Classic jerseys were worn to honour the Calgary Tigers, and partly as a nod to the 90-plus-years history of the Canadiens. Since the Winnipeg Jets have only barely been a NHL team for a few years, then I suspect that there will be no incentive to reach so far back into Calgary hockey history this time around.

But as I side note, I really liked the 2011 Heritage Classic jerseys.

I liked those HC jerseys, but they really should have been black and red rather than red and yellow. The Tigers wore black and orange.

For whatever reason, that jersey was the most worn knockoff version of all the Flames jersey styles.

And the knockoff was awful (gives merit to the McDonalds Keyhcup/Mustard complaint). But the actual jersey looks nothing like this. I really liked the officially licensed jersey.
