Stars 2 Flames 0
Game Takes:
Stars 2 Flames 0
- Flames terrible in first 40
- Second line a mess with Czarnik
- Frolik, Bennett and Neal injuries leave Flames looking thin

The Flames now sit tied with Winnipeg and Nashville for top of the conference, but the Jets have a game in hand on both the Flames and Predators. In the Pacific Division the Flames hold their lead of three points over the Ducks and Sharks, and have a game in hand on Anaheim. I’d tell you where the Oilers are, but they don’t really matter.

LOL....beautiful.

Agree with you on Czarnik. We have seen more from some of the call-ups.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Probably more suited for the trade thread, but maybe there are dots to be connected here. Czarnik not working out in Calgary, was sought after in the off season, St. Louis looking to tear down and add youth, etc.

As much as people have complained about Frolik, Bennett and Neal, they're still all good and useful players.

Appreciate the comments on Hathaway as I think the guy is proving to be just what you want as a 4th liner and being able to contribute effectively on the PK is a huge plus.
I guess Czarnik proving that success in the AHL is far different than success in the NHL, and that the Bruins aren’t total idiots.

They are arguably Calgary's 6th, 7th and 8th best forwards. That's like missing line 2.5

I forget who said it, but the person who compared Czarnik to Sven Baertschi was onto something.
I would not mind seeing Foo get a shot soon. He plays with some jam, and might be a better fit in a bottom 6 role.
