The winning score has fluctuated between about -5 and -15 for years now. The one exception was 2007 where the weather wreaked havoc and it was basically the us open. The current set up is what allows for charges on sunday on the back nine- wasnt as much drama today, but there easily could have been had Reed not hit the pin on 17, slowing down his ball. I think the rain on Saturday made conditions a lot easier and more forgiving on the weekend.

Why does it matter?

They could also just make the Par 5s play as hard Par 4s for the tournament so that Reed can win with a +1 because that would somehow be more compelling.
