I gave up on Supernatural long before the musical episode, but did tune in for this episode. Not Buffy good, but still fun. And of course it ends with Carry on my Wayward Son.

The West Wing had a few very good music scenes. The one where Toby arranges and goes to the homeless veterans funeral. The Bartlett scene in the cathedral announcing he is running for re-election. Those both come to mind.

And, not a TV show, but a John Wayne movie. Rio Bravo, with Dean Martin as the drunk, but he can sing.

The Blacklist had many songs (over 300) in it's long running TV series. The haunting Greg Laswell's song "Dodged a Bullet" is my favourite of mine and TBQH it fits the show perfectly. The song is a love story about someone who is trying to leave a bad relationship. Liz is trying to get away from her relationship with Raymond Reddington and all the bad things that come into her life. The lyrics "Everyone thinks I dodged a bullet, but I think I shot the gun" is about choices we sometimes make when our backs are against the wall.

I couldn't find the video of the episode but I did find one that someone made that I think represents the song and it's meaning well.

Outside of the musical episode of Buffy, there was still Giles signing Behind Blue Eyes.

Britt Daniel covering Elvis Costello on Veronica Mars

And I don't think anybody has mentioned Treme yet.

CP's probably not the right demographic for this, but the CW's Flash and Supergirl crossover musical episode was pretty good imo

Both of the main characters were Glee alumnus and support characters who sang were Broadway experienced including Victor Garber

I was going to mention this. My daughter loves that episode, and while I'm not a Flash fan, I do like the the songs they did - they are well done and catchy. I think the song writers who wrote the music for La La Land wrote the music for this episode.
