The bomb challenge was classically funny as was the baseball bat challenge.

I'm glad that this show remains strong.

THANK YOU!!! I've been trying to remember the name of that show for 10 years, it was hilarious! The finale sucked, but the rest was pure gold. I've asked so many people over the years if they knew the show I meant, and they always said "Joe Schmoe?", but I knew it wasn't that.

When the dude faked a panic attack about meeting her parents on the way there, and was laying on the side of the highway hyperventilating in starfish position while his tricked "fiance" freaked out, I was dying.

EDIT: For those that don't know, the premise was 2 complete strangers have to trick their parents into believing they're going to get married in a rush, and if their parents go along with it, they each get $250,000. What the "bride" didn't know was her "groom" was actually a paid actor, with the sole purpose of driving her nuts and making the whole ordeal as difficult as possible. Hilarity ensued.

There was a show that was a rip off of the apprentice as well where the contestants were real. The company that they were competing for a job for was bogus and the owner was an actor who played a sleezy boss with rage problems.

It was actually pretty funny, he called one contestant a detestable skank and had security escort her out of the building.

This stuff is way better than a real reality tv show. How on earth is Survivor still around? hahaha. It should have died by season 3 or whenever they went to Africa.

I just found episode 1 on youtube, its broken into parts. Haven't seen if all 6 with all the parts are still up, but it looks promising.

Not saying its on par with the original Schmoe or anything, but worth a cheap watch. And don't worry, (save for the finale anyway), if I recall, its not as drama-filled as the first couple mins of part 1 suggest. Mostly just him messing with her.

Survivor is still really the king of reality shows because it really removes the glamor from the participants and it lays them pretty bare.

As likable as these people might be in real life, at least in survivor they're not eating well, they're not comfortable, they're grubby and they have to spend 39 days in close proximity with similar people.

Meanwhile you have some pretty tough challenges and a game that forces you to lie and cheat and steal.

None of the other reality shows have the same conditions.

The closest would be amazing race, but most of the time competitors don't see each other or have to work with each other if they don't want to.

As much as people hated people like the Abi's and the Jerry Mathis and some of the other horrible people, at least they were the most honest ones.

Apologies to bump a thread when I'm not even talking about the OP, but since re-discovering it on Friday, I've watched pretty much all 6 eps of that Big Fat Fiance show I was talking about. Hadn't seen it in a decade, I forgot how hilarious it was! Man does he just screw with the girl, that guy's classic. Just solid casting for both.

From midway through episode 4 on, you could pretty much skip it, as its just 2.5 episodes of her tearfully trying to convince her equally tearful family to come to the wedding, and the jokes are pushed to the side. Basically where it turns from a reality show for guys to one for women. But for pure comedy, the first 3 eps and even start of the 4th are gold.

Haha in the first one, when he's bouncing around in the hot tub with a bottle of wine calling her name while she's inside crying about it, I was laughing so hard I was almost crying myself.

Sorry I missed this. You're welcome! I remember the show clearly and man was it funny.

Just watched the first season of Joe Schmo and it was hilarious! It's pretty cool to see the now stars from that show and season 2!

After just five months of dating, Lamas got married for the fifth time to Shawna Craig (25) — who is younger than his eldest daughter — in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on April 30, 2011. His daughter, Shayne (27), attended the wedding.[5][6] He has told reporters that he will go publicly as Lorenzo Lamas-Craig. His manager, Don Gibble tells E! The other reason was because his last wife, former Playboy Playmate Shauna Sand, kept the Lamas name and is legally Shauna Lamas. "His new wife didn't want to be called Shawna Lamas for obvious reasons," explains Gibble"
Don Gibble needs to read up on celebrity news. Jay Mohr took his wife's name to become Jay Cox Mohr three years before that.

Watching it on the Youtubes and I am about half way through the second episode.

The best part about it so far is that Steve really seems like he is enjoying ####ing with her.

In other shows the actors have had their cutaways out of character where they will show them emotional and with remorse for playing mind games. In this, when it cuts to Steve he's got this smirk on his face and looks likes like he wants to burst out laughing as he talks about how upset she got. At least so far, only 2 episodes in.

Edit: And just as I say that, resuming the episode shows a serious Steve about how he didn't want to make her cry. I don't buy it, this guy loves messing with her.

Ya that guy's awesome. Has the most infectious laugh when he's talking about messing with her.

I think its the next episode when you (and she) meets his "family". Pretty solid.

This season has been great so far. Laugh everytime the wife struggles to carry out that ridiculous immunity vest.

The spirit animals are great too, My beaver peed!
