I took his comments as the problem will probably take care of itself. If liv can't get world ranking points and even if they do, their players will all still drop out of the top 60 if they are only playing liv events. It's just going to be a smaller handful each other who got in by winning a US Open within the last 10 years or another major within 5 years.

The majors have no real reason to ban these guys, since they are not tours, but just single events. The open events aren't likely to ban anyone since that takes them away from being opens. The Masters could take a stand if they think the liv tour is hurting pro golf in general. I think the PGA of America is taking the stance that the liv is not a recognized tour right now, and that they have to be on a recognized tour to play in the PGA championship and Ryder Cup.

Yep, I have a feeling Mickelson is headed for a really bad 36 hole score.

What kind of reaction is FIGJAM getting from the gallery? He used to be a big fan favorite at the US Open.

Got a huge ovation on the first tee. I mean it's not like Phil hasn't always been kind of a piece of crap, and people still loved him then. But yeah he barely looks like a tour player anymore, pretty obvious why he took the $200 million. His PGA Tour future would be fighting for every cut.

Hey, he broke 80. Not bad for a guy like playing in the member guest league

He was barely playing pga tour events anyway. Him leaving on its own isn’t much of a blow. Recruiting the others and all his ridiculous comments was really his big undoing.

Looks like it is playing tougher today. Hadwin is starting on the tougher 9. If he. An keep it around-2, he’ll be looking pretty good by end of day

The afternoon should be even tougher so hopefully Hadwin stays in the red.

Insanely bunched leaderboard right now, cut might only be +2, which might only be five back.

If it were to be +2, Hadwin could go from leading to missing.

But a whole bunch of guys haven't teed it up yet so I expect it will be higher than that.

Yeah I would expect it slides down to maybe +4, but it is very tight right now, 66 players within five shots of the lead.

Hadwin did well to grind it back to -2. Course playing kinda right in the middle, not a lot of low scores, but not a lot of high scores either among the top of the leaderboard.

Nice finish for Hadwin.

Rory with the double. Will he shoot himself out of contention at another major or does he keep it together?
