TC from Magnum PI died. I was young when it came out but remember the whole cast well. Great show.

"Judo" Gene Lebell dies at 89.
Quote:
As a professional wrestler, referee and 9th Dan in jiujitsu, "Judo Gene" helped to popularize the art of grappling in combat sports, to the point that he also became known as the "Godfather of Grappling." A friend and contemporary of Bruce Lee, he was also an accomplished stunt performer and actor, working on over 1,000 different films and TV shows including Raging Bull, The Bionic Woman, Green Hornet, Rush Hour, and several of Elvis Presley's movie ventures. Quentin Tarantino has even credited him as the partial inspiration behind Cliff Booth, Brad Pitt's character in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, alongside stuntman Hal Needham.
One especially popular anecdote about LeBell, which may or may not be apocryphal, refers to an alleged incident between him and action film star Steven Seagal on the set of 1991's Out for Justice. Seagal reportedly claimed that his aikido training meant he was immune to being choked unconscious, an assertion which LeBell is then said to have dared Seagal to prove. What followed was an altercation in which LeBell not only succeeded in choking him into unconsciousness, but also caused him to void his bowels.

Ben Stern, Father of Howard Stern, has passed away at 99
Howard didn’t announce it on his show, which is on summer hiatus, but in an article discussing his (surprisingly good) artwork.

Ben was Howard’s inspiration to get into radio and was often on the show along with Howard’s mother, Rae. Some of my favourite bits feature him.

I feel bad. She fought her mental health demons for a long time.

Really sad news about Heche, as she had battled a lot of demons and substance abuse issues. I guess we can be relieved that no one else was hurt.

I had no idea about her private life at all, but a read of her Wikipedia page today was eye-opening. Very messed up early life it seems.

I think she was very early to come out in Hollywood and basically was rejected there for it. It must have been very dejecting.

Google news just announced Anne Heche has died. Always was a fan of her, sad.
Had no idea about her childhood, molested from when she was an infant until the age of 12 by her father and given an STD. Brutal.

Demons or not, being high on cocaine and blackout drunk while driving is indefensible. Thank god she didn’t take any innocent lives with such reckless behaviour.

Unfortunately having “demons” can be an impairment as well. resulting in bad judgement.
