Default Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2022 - Round 18 Run Off

Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!

As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to rookie camp range
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

Predicting Goalies may be voodoo, but predicting AHL veterans who do not produce is not. Sergeev is an easy choice.

Sergeev has the possibility of rocketing up the rankings by a dozen spots. Pettersen does not.

I really had high hopes for Pettersen... but looks like he'll never make the jump.

Yup, they are both longshots to ever play in the NHL, but Sergeev has the potential to be a valuable player, Pettersen... not so much.

I am not sure what role for Pettersen in the NHL.

Sergeev has the size and tools. Also a hyper-competitive edge (resulting in suspensions for interfering with officials). Sort of a Ron Hextall/Billy Smith vibe.

Then there's the distinction of being suspended and awarded USHL Player of the Week in the same week.

The coin is unbiased, the coin never lies, the coin is objective. Sergeev.
