Surely Staples is just flat out trolling with that post
Oh the oil fan's sure believe in themselves, though I don't know if that means there is chatter or people just keep repeating what they hear making it seem like it's more than it actually is.

I have seen recently being spouted off by various oil blogs/forums that both will take near league minimum to play in Edmonton. The one I stumbled across yesterday stated that they could flip JP on his super team friendly contract for a middle six ELC prospect and a draft pick or two. I don't know a fanbase more in love with it's own players than Edmonton.

Now because bodog is saying that's where the odds are, it must be happening. And everyone knows that players only go to their most rumored location, which is why I invested heavily in Gaudreau Philly Jerseys and Tkachuk blues jerseys.

My guess is that both guys want 2-3 million or more, and bodog knows odds are only the oilers are dumb enough to move out cost controlled pieces to sign overpriced vets. The odds say those two sign in Edmonton, not that they sign good deals for Edmonton.

If Kessel signs with the Oilers, they’re setting themselves up to try and win games 7-6…all offence, no defence

Writing articles based on betting odds is on par with writing a story that's nothing but quoted tweets from random Twitter users.

The only thing the betting odds show is that Edmonton fans are dumber than average fans and are willing to take worse odds. The casinos will continually adjust down to account for their stupidity.

Thank you. I was just going to post similar.

The more bet on an outcome, the greater the reduction in odds and the appearance of “likeliness”. It’s a function of amount spent not some hand washing urinal loving idiot’s dream about outcomes.

But hey! Odds say…

Maybe not the right place to share, but Ben Stelter's Dad posted on Twitter that Ben passed away last night. I know some here picked up on the story during the playoffs and he got a lot of attention on TV so figured I would share.

RIP Ben.

The best thing about Edmonton.

He brought so much light. So glad he was able to have so many special experiences in the past year or so with the Oilers and the hockey world in general. Rest in peace, little fellow.

Kane, Subban and Kessel? Might as well call Sean Avery to keep adding self-centered me-first players.

Now that he's finished his collection of 1980s Oiler alumni, Katz's new mission is to fill his team's roster with fine, upstanding people like himself.

Needed this thread bumped, cannot have it drop 2 days behind. Any updates on Oilers Cup parade planning for 2023?

Kyrou straight across for Tkachuk would be better than Huberdeau, Weegar, Schwindt, and a 2025 1st round pick. The trade was a loss in every way.
Kyrou has 10 points in 21 playoff games compared to Huberdeau’s 21 points in 26 playoff games….

HFOilers is where you go when you feel really ####ty about yourself, gives you perspective that things could be way worse.

In fact just went there for a daily pick me up…. Never leave disappointed. I just learned that Broberg is better than Jakob Chychrun and still has more ceiling……

They are absolutely unbelievable, it’s amazing. One would think with nothing else to do in that ####hole they would at least be knowledgeable since they would have time to watch hockey.

I had to check out HF Oilers out of curiosity. I feel like I just waded through a landfill.

Did you know if Broberg, Holloway, Bourgault, and Schaefer provide any depth scoring they will win the cup?

No pressure rookies.

They should just draft the best defensive prospects they can get their hands on. Always trying to outscore their problems.

I should add, if those 4 guys don't provide depth scoring it "would disappoint". Disappointment it is!
