Deerhead Cafe. Never set foot in it, but it always looks plenty seedy on the drive by. Good reviews though!
I've been to the Deerhead Cafe. The menu (and ambience) is like a small town restaurant. I was waiting for my dog to be finished at the groomer nearby and wasn't hungry for a meal. They didn't have anything snack-size on the menu, but were very friendly and had no issue with me sitting there for over an hour while only having tea.

Price isn't an issue - I want to hear about the whole spectrum from high-end to greasy spoon.

I’d suggest Sultan’s tent (Moroccan cuisine), Safari Grill (East African/Indian) and Fahad (Pakistani cuisine)

Man I love the stained ceiling and wood panel walls. It's beyond a sloppy diner from the google photos. This is like a real industrial zone mechanic's luncheon place.

They even have pictures of the place from what looks like the 60s or 70s and it looks identical.

I know it's in a different area code, and you may not have a valid passport to get there - but clearly you haven't been to Beacon Hill....

They're about equal in suckage. 130th is at least walkable to.

If you want to get out of the city, Little New York Bistro in Longview is fairly eclectic, but we’ve always had good meals. Heartland Cafe and Restaurant in Okotoks is a restaurant inside of an old church and has really good food too. And if you wanted brunch, the chuckwagon in Turner Valley always seems to get rave reviews and it is certainly full on country decor!

Little NY is unique and good.

I thought Fonda Fora was just ok. A bit over-rated and service was glacial.

My second time at Fonda Fora was not good. I don't know what happened between the first and second visit, but I'm in no rush to go back, to say the least.

Biked to the new farmers market by C.O.P. this weekend. Very mall-like, food choices were not that impressive but there were some unique looking offerings from the stores (not the fast food type vendors). Do not go to the Shawarma place, very overpriced, salty, slow, and disappointing.

It’s basically the same as the original.

Greenwich farmers market was sadly severely disappointing.
  1. Overhyped
  2. Too many people (its new I get it)
  3. Small hallways
  4. crazy prices - Over 9 dollars for a small basket of strawberries? (like maybe 8-10) I can hit any other farmers market and get them for half that. (Bearspaw/Cochrane etc)
  5. food court side is 1/3rd empty

I found it very lackluster.
Walked through the entire thing in less than 10 minutes (up 1 side, down the other)

For the amount of hype this place received and the delays etc etc.... I juts figured there'd be more. It feels smaller than the other one for some reason, maybe its the layout or the fact that the food stalls are 1/3rd empty.

Vendors/Food choices are just meh.... But hey if you want to stand in line for 45 minutes for a Phil and Sebastian overpriced coffee they've got you covered!

Went to The Park in Aspen Landing last night. Was pretty excellent. All four of us enjoyed it a lot.

The food market at Avenida impressed me last week. Had Venezuelan arepas.

The sushi place there, Zushi, and Expat Asia, are two awesome places.

The chef at Zushi has worked at Nupo and Shokunin and does an excellent job. Highly recommend.

The lamb birria tacos at Mestizo on the weekends are delicious. Good to know Zushi is good, wife wants to try out their omakase.
