It was inevitable. About time too. I though for sure the ax was gonna drop after the Flames Comeback.

Wonder how much they are paying Q.

More than Babcock?

Good move given the amount of untapped potential on that roster.

Glad to see Q off the market, do not want the Oilers to get a longterm solution.

Hahaha!

No. Not even Joel Quenneville can save the Edmonton Oilers.

No one can.

No one.

Good move for them and glad Q isn't coaching a Western Rival.
That Western trip must have hurt for Flyers fans.

The Flyers will reportedly fire Dave Hakstol, and hire Joel Quenneville to be head coach.

Q's salary for doing nothing makes him almost prohibitive for another team.

Good to have Q in the east. Now Chiarelli can stick to grooming GG for the head coach gig by learning from Hitchcock.

So Ken Hitchcock can't, right?

Status quo in Philadelphia. No decision has been made on Dave Hakstol.

We're winning 5-2, but this might be my favourite news today.

The only hope Edmonton fans had that Unretiredx2 Hitch was just a bandaid to get through this year has eroded fairly quickly.

Did they call Q? Did he say no?

Funny that he chose the team blowing everything up and hasn't had a goalie in decades over the "something special".

Always feel bad when coaches lose their jobs. Seems like Hakstol has been on the hot seat for a while, can't be an easy position to be in, especially in Philly!
