Tonight's game is the 2000th game in franchise history for both Tampa and Ottawa. I still think of both of them as "new" teams.

That tampa PP is unfair. Basically a screen man and all other guys in position ready to unload a one timer. Point ties in on the 6 on 5. Going to OT. I think Point is already the best Calgarian to ever pick up a stick. At least modern era.

EDIT: Point picks up another point in OT. Tampa wins.

^ That kid who just won the Hart is pretty good too. Especially now that he has the Oilers stank off of him.

I think Point is better. His IQ is off the charts, his shot is elite, and his speed is only a tier below McDavid. I dream of Point pulling a Tavares and coming home.

Good news so far, the BJs are up 1-0 midway through the second period.

Is Tortorella on the hot seat?

Columbus seems to be treading water, looked bad against LA and don't good against the team everyone looks good against.

Are the Bobrovsky and Panarin situations a potential season killer? Tort's message wearing thin like it always has? Or typical early season ups and downs?

It feels like Torts has been in Columbus way longer than the Torts shelf life .

Wow, just looked it up and he actually lasted quite long in Tampa and New York. Six seasons in Tampa, five in New York. Only one in Vancouver, I didn't realize it was that short.

Pretty empty arena in Anaheim. Fairweather fans at its finest.

Anaheim is the worst of the California fan bases, it's just masked by a lot of success. They have many crowds in the 13-14k range while being a Stanley Cup contender. You'll start to see some abysmal numbers in the coming rebuild years.

Seth Jones is so good. That 2013 draft was, as the kids would say, lit.

Lundqvist played very well in net as he made 39 saves. Vesey scores 2 goals in 19 seconds in the 1st minute of the 2nd period to help the Rangers win.

The Lightning win in OT to complete a weekend sweep in Canada. Gourde scored the GWG 14 seconds into OT. Tampa Bay controlled the 3rd period out shooting the Senators 21-4! Anderson and the Sens played much better from the previous day's debacle. The 2 teams go back at it in Tampa Bay on Sat.

It was the Fowler vs. Dubois show and Fowler won with his hat trick over Dubois 2 goals. Both teams were perfect on the PK, 5-5 for Columbus and 6-6 for Anaheim. The Ducks end their 7 game winless streak.
