I'm pretty sure most of the batteries in North America are made by three (Johnson, Delphi, Exide) companies and it's just a matter of who's name is on the sticker.

Yeah, it's fairly obvious you have a van problem; not a battery problem lol.
Yes, but it's also possible that not getting the new battery to a full charge prior to letting the vehicle sit compounds the issue where the battery charge drops to a level too low to charge. IIRC, batteries are not typically stored at full charge, they're stored at 50% ish.
On a different note, I just realized that certain premium/sport/luxury vehicles don't default to being 300+HP. For instance, I guess I assumed that all Porches had a minimum of 300HP. I was kinda surprised that certain brand new models were <300HP.
Yes, yes, still probably very fast due to power to weight ratio. I'm just saying I had an assumption about vehicles that I was surprised was incorrect.
Same level of surprise as realizing climate control wasn't standard for all new vehicles.
I think so. Third one in less than two months. Hopefully they honour the warranty again so I can drive it to the shop
Does the Odessy have Hands Free Link? I had an 2009 MDX that would drain after a few days. I disconnected the bluetooth module and it stopped. It is a known honda problem. Their is also a known AC relay that causes battery drain.
People call coupes useless but for single people without kids the only challenge I generally have is moving wheels around twice a year.
The options for AWD coupes (that aren't absurdly expensive) have really dwindled but I hope they keep making the CLE for a while and change nothing. Shame on you, Audi.

After I got 19" rims for my coupe I can barely fit them all in lol! Fortunately my wife got a small CUV so now don't have to struggle getting them in and out of the back seats.

But certainty is an absurd one.
I saw a CLE 53 on the road for the first time today, what a stunner. Since Audi stopped making coupes () this is the dream to replace my S5.
I've yet to see any other CLE on the road besides today. They must be selling hardly any of them.
That's a beauty, and the max curb weight is 3,957 lbs, so it isn't a big fat-ass like the AMG C63S 4-banger. AND there's a CLE63 version coming in 2025 with a bi-turbo V8!

Still a little too much piano black plastic and cheese-ball purple lights in these modern Merc interiors for my taste...but that's a nice looking car on the outside.
Glad to see they are bringing back the V8's. Nobody wants a 4-banger in their AMG.

Most of the exterior looks great, but that long rear end just comes across as frumpy and unrefined. I know it's all there for aero, but it still looks chonk.

So I'm considering getting rid of my 2023 GMC 2500. I think it was built on a Friday, because it's been nothing short of an absolute POS since day 1.
Something went on the engine about 5000k in which resulted in a 2 month stay at the dealer. Followed by the transmission control unit (another 3 months waiting for parts), DEF injectors, and now wiring harness issues. Jack Carter is hilariously overpriced for service and even warranty work is a PITA.
90 000k on it so it seems like it's the time to dump it.
What are the opinions on the new 1/2 ton diesel trucks? I see Ram is coming out with some kind of diesel hybrid but I've never owned a Dodge. I like the idea of a high torque diesel V6 with electric efficiency (as well as the smaller footprint) but I'm afraid of MOPAR. I generally stick to Toyota for price and reliability but they seem to be having problems now too, along with price creep. I LOVED my 2008 2500 GMC but holy hell are the new ones ever terrible.
I drive a lot, tow trailers for work and pleasure, and also have a sled deck (2 up). Payload isn't a major concern, but I would like to have something capable of at least one sled, as well as the ability to pull around 10 000lbs.
Also loads of hiway driving so fuel efficiency is important. The 2500 is surprisingly efficient without a load in the bed or when pulling a trailer. Self driving would be pretty awesome but not a deal breaker.

Yeah, I cannot stand piano black; my RR has it and I would kill for a nice woodgrain replacement, but it's an absurd amount of work to swap it all over, not to mention cost. As for the purple lights, I believe that's the ambient lighting colour which should be adjustable by the driver.

I went to the Merc builder to build out a CLE this morning. You can option in wood grain and option out piano black.
There's even an option for lunatics who want to add MORE piano black (wtf).

I'm open to suggestions here.
With HD trucks you have 3 options, GM, Dodge and Ford. If GM didn't do it for you, you're down to Ram and F250 and both have their .....flaws. I'd personally go dodge but really it's preference.
Plus I think Cummins vs. power stroke is a thing and Cummins comes out ahead most of the time.
And IIRC. Ford transmissions are the worst of the bunch. Including the Aisins youre trying to get out of.
