^Thanked for Wolf Parade and Father John Misty specifically.
Ok, sorry to bring up this band again, but Hop Along has been on continuous repeat for the past week. I am rarely this enthralled with a new band, but this group deserves your attention. I guess I just sorta want more people to know about them at this point.
p.s. If you don't hear her sing-screaming you haven't listened long enough.

Frances’s voice makes the band for sure. Their Tiny Desk performance highlights her perfectly.

where have I heard that before? oh yes that's right Iggy and the Stooges
Mudhoney are definitely influenced by the Stooges. They often cover them like they did with Pearl Jam this weekend. They also did the same song in Calgary a few years ago.

Sons of Freedom! Wow, that takes me back. Saw them open for the Hip in '92 at Max Bell Arena. Man, that was one loud, crazy, drunken, sweaty night. Amazing show by both bands.
So the issue with Spotify is that you tend to get a bit nostalgic, you'll be putting together play lists, and old songs that you really liked seem to magically get picked by you.
I decided to do a hair metal type of playlist.
Here are the artists
Steele Panther
Helix
Triumph
Lee Aaron
Van Halen with Samny
Van Halen with Dave
Sammy Hagar
Guns and Roses
Skid Row
Winger
Brighton Rock
Def Leppard
Vixen

I hadn't listened to this in a while, but I stumbled across the mid 2000's Canadian band The Constantines in my playlist recently. A very underrated band, worth the listen.
