"Mr. Trudeau's legal counsel further submitted that Ms. Wilson-Raybould failed in her duty, as Attorney General, to acquaint herself with all the relevant facts. Holy ####. He is doubling down on this tactic of going after her character.
That can't be true, everyone knows that if Scott Brison hadn't have stepped down that Jody would still be the Justice Minister.

Unfortunately, that's likely the case. Ultimately this is the Con's own fault. Before choosing Scheer as their leader they essentially conceded the next election. I can't find it now but there was a report that stated they didn't think they could win in 2019 and they were looking at the election beyond. Did Scheer get the nomination as a result, with nobody thinking they would have a chance to govern? Did they not want to waste the nomination on someone they thought had a chance to become PM? If so, they have done a disservice to themselves and to the country. We may be stuck with Trudeau for a while.

This report is a huge bombshell, right before an election and right as we're heading into the fall. We are now dealing with a Prime Minister who has repeated ethical violations, has seemingly lied, and more importantly that new book on Trudeau could be a massive bombshell as it runs counter to what we're seeing in this report. We are also looking at a Liberal Government that now looks like it used its committee majorities to initiate a cover up. The last page of the report today is particularly devastating as it lists the people that the Ethics Commissioner talked to or investigated and these are people that the Cons and NDP wanted to call for testimony.
Maybe I'm a bit jaded but I doubt the resurfacing of this story causes as big a shift in the polls. Guessing most people in Ont and Que will ignore the story as old news. The RCMP stepping in could move the needle but even if they had already launched an investigation we wouldn't know about it before the election.

Theres nothing left to investigate.

The PMO is using the Canadian Justice System like his own personal Karmic Piggybank. His own Minister of Justice and now his own Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner have both shown this.

Members of his own party are saying the guy is out of line. If that doesnt move the needle then nothing will.

Yup, I broke the law, let SNC Lavalin make government policy, engaged in a coverup, lied and had members of my government lie. Threw a member of my cabinet under the buss.

But its all for jobs.

This is the first time I think I've seen a applauding audience during Q+A by the press. I wonder if Telford is standing off camera with an applause side.

This is the most corrupt and least competent federal government in Canadian history.

Of all the things he has apologized for, apparently this doesn't meet his criteria.
