Be interesting to see if people buy it. If this is true then why did he say about 100 times over and over "If Scott Brison hadn't stepped down then JWR would still be Justice Minister today".

Guessing her written submission to the Justice Committee isn't going be good for the Liberals if they are amping up the smear campaign like this.

About the best thing JWR revealed in her testimony was the comment of how we can get some Op Ed's written to support you. That right there pretty much swung perception that all these new attempts are just the Liberals being Liberals. She pulled their usual tactics right out from under them.

Trudeau is pure scum. That's way beyond dirty politics or bending the rules IMO.

Nothing he wont do to retain what he feels is rightfully his.

The press take the bait without question, immediately assume the anonymous rumours are completely true. Might explain how the Libs were so confident that they could guide the press on a whim.

Wouldn't this be considered as leaking cabinet secrets?

This goes back tot he push for Trudeau to declare the pipeline as a vital Canadian Interest. The Federal Government has appropriated land in the past.

Sure, but rolling in the tanks is not something I figure any politician would actually do. People say Scheer will get the pipe built, but I flat out donít believe it. With Bernier though I actually have faith that he would do what he says.

I didn't say roll the tanks in. However I'm a big fan of the idea that NB's premiere put out there that Canada needs a resource corridor that goes from coast to coast, that way Alberta gets its oil to tide water, Quebec can more effectively export its hydro, BC its natural gas.

Tanks?

You dont need tanks to build on land you control...where are you getting this from?

If I remember correctly, right after the fall-out from the pipeline, the federal government turned around and gave BC a big fat cheque, they also fast tracked a LNG project in BC.
Holding back both of those things along with declaring a pipeline of national interest would have gone a log way in getting BC on board.

Add on appealing the FAC court decision so that at least the government could have gotten a proper definition of consultation from the supreme court .

Yea they sure would have but once again, the evidence is crystal clear that the Liberals will do the bare minimum on the pipeline file. Horgan made Trudeau his bitch even though he's the goddamn PM, such a joke.

Also the resource corridor is an excellent, much needed idea. Our transport infrastructure in Canada is a joke, there's all kinds of intranational problems and our export capacity in stuck in time from the 1960s where we just funnel resources south to the United States. Oil transport issues are much publicized but also our rail systems are backlogged and ports are capped out at a time when international trade will only become more important. We need a southern corridor and a northern corridor running from Kitimat to Churchill linking our resource rich north to both coasts while providing jobs and connection to society for multiple FN people living there. That is the kind of infrastructure project that would move the country forward, the Liberals were all about deficit funding for infrastructure in the last election but they're too incompetent to even allow private corporations to build critical projects with their own money.

Isnít this akin to Alison Redfords National Energy Strategy? Maybe not the exact same, but it sounds quite similar.

Well tanks is a bit of hyperbole, but what I mean is that you have to expect that the only way that building actually takes place is someway to protect that ~1500km stretch from protestors and other people trying to stop construction. I think thatís the RCMP or someone in that capacity.
