So, she's pulling a Jim Carrey, then. Why make a film if you don't like what it's got to say.

Money?

I think you should be able to make any kind of film you want but it’s probably for the best. A movie about rich democrats hunting and killing poor republicans for sport doesn’t sound like it would go very well down there right about now.

Though you’d think she probably could’ve guessed it, I doubt during filming she was thinking of it getting released right after multiple mass shootings.

I think people are missing the point of why it’s getting pulled.

Disturbing example of why Church and State need separation.

Well that was an interesting and disturbing window towards religion's tentacles into the powerful elite. Gross. Geezus, some parts of America are just messed up.

Just to provide some context...

Democrats violently attack Trump supporters.

No, not really. Not any more than the usual bull#### that happens at Trump rallies. This is one of those "both sides, all sides" moments. The difference is that one side is fed by the vitriol and hatred spewed by the leader at these rallies, and those followers come out fit for bear. These rallies are tinderboxes because of what Trump says.

Democrats threaten to kill Trump supporters.

Really? And those innocent Trump supporters are such victims. Maybe we should compare threat counts and then body counts. Seems that the Trump sets is waaaaaaaaaay ahead in both columns.

Democrats call Trump supporters Nazis.

Well, when the Nazis are Trump supporters, and they proudly acknowledge that or openly brag about supporting Trump, that makes the statement factually accurate. Not all Trump supporters are Nazis, but the Nazis are Trump supporters.

Democrats make movies about hunting Trump supporters.

Actually, this was a private interest that made this movie. This was an interest that made the "deplorables" the protagonist in the movie, and the liberal elite the antagonist. Might want to understand the movie before making a comment about it. Also, Blumhouse likes to push the limits and delve into the strange politics of situations. Get Out is a great example, as they allowed Peele to push the limit of race relations. The Hunt was to be one of those movies that pushed the limits, but now is not the time for that work to be released, regardless of who the protagonist or antagonist is.

A side not, Jason Blum is a bit of a genius when it comes to picking products to back. If you look at the projects he's elected to roll the dice on, he just has an incredible sense of what is going to hit. The benefit of doing micro-budget projects like he does is when they hit, the return is massive. Not many micro-budget houses can say they produced Get Out, Whiplash, and BlackkKlansman in short order, on top of his big horror film hits. Quite the accomplishment.

Isn't a travel warning over mass shootings ridiculous and not backed by any kind of statistical analysis.

Without looking it up I'd suspect car accidents kill far more visitors to the United States than mass shootings have.

I'm not trying to minimise the issue as it needs to be dealt with but on the list of travel concerns the risk of mass shooting shouldn't be on list.

Yes. Hence...

Clarification: A previous version of this story listed Canada as one of the countries that cautioned travelers about gun violence in the United States. The Canada travel advisory says "incidents of mass shooting occur, but account for a small percentage of homicide deaths in the country. The likelihood of a tourist being a victim of such an incident is low."

So a recession is inevitable. Once again it turns out tax cuts for the rich do nothing. Can't wait for this cycle to repeat in 2028/2032.

The yield curve thing is about as meaningful as if the AFC wins the super bowl. The duration between the inversion and the recession is 6 months to 2 years and the length of recessions is not predicted at all.

If before this inversion occurred someone asked you to predict a recession in the next 6 months to 2 years most would have said yes.

Nothing has changed.

The 3 year / 5 year curve inverted at the end of 2018 which is supposed to be a predictor as well. Then in went back to normal, then it inverted again

I'm mostly just curious how he's gonna blame Obama or Hillary for it.

Wait. Is he saying the Fed acted to quickly but not quick enough because it's too late now?

I really don't know why I expect better.
