Damn, good point. We need a have a different thread for each different way of watching. Sorry Cecil!

It really is. Shame because for what I like to watch at least, it's got the best content out of all the streaming services. But it's also the most difficult to use

that was a freaking glorious pilot episode. As a massive, MASSIVE fan of the games, I was really anxious about this, but this is exactly what I wanted. Inject that #### into my veins.

Me too, absolutely love that stuff. And in this case it's part of an incredible series to boot. Location spotting is just a nice bonus rather than when it's sometimes the only reason I've watched a show/movie.

My only intention is to GDT, where I try to find the filming locations for each week's episodes from google maps or other sources, not posting any spoilery photos from future episodes. I will continue doing that only after episodes have aired.

seeing places I frequented last summer is half the fun

I can't imagine local posters having an issue with location spotting

Even though location spotting has been declared a crime against humanity, abuse at the highest level, and a bannable offence, I actually hope whoever feels compelled to do it continues, as it’s kind of a cool easter egg type thing to come to the thread for after watching the episode. And there are a few locations I’m curious to see how they use but I’m not sure if I would recognize them in the moment.

Regardless I think this is going to be a great show and a fun thread for the next couple months.

About the same for me too. I’m in Calgary. Not sure if that’s filming location discussion or not.

I'm looking forward to the Canmore scenes. I've walked and bike that bridge thousands of times. Oh, wait, do we have to spoiler warning locations shown in the trailer?

No, because Cecil did what he should have from the start, taken his grumpy ass out of the thread. Don’t like something being discussed in a thread? Leave the thread. It’s so easy!

Having played the 2nd game only I thought the characters were really accurate.

PlayStation Black Friday sale. Wasn’t sure I’d like the games, thought I’d give it a try. I don’t feel like I missed too much of the backstory and have at least a general idea of the direction for the series without knowing all the detail. (I also liked the game for the most part, the cutscenes and some of the…”story stuff” felt long winded and I just wanted get on with creeping around.)

Just finished ep1

I actually carefully thought this through after seeing Sonic 2 which at the time I had decided was the best video game movie ever (sadly).

So yes, you are in fact correct, this show minutes in achieve the incredibly low bar of greatest video game adaptation every.

That was solid. They got the vibe down but not sure about the cast in general. I keep expecting Dr. Bishop to show up.

There are certain take me out of the show moments for sure when recognizing locations.

That was awesome. I hated building up his daughter's story as you know she is toast. that was pretty emotional.
