The 'Salmon Cannon' skit had me laughing my ass off, that has to be the funniest thing I've seen in years! For me, Homer, Tom Hanks and JJ Abrams really made it.

Absolutely. Fataing. Brilliant.

He's Back!

There is a "right to make profit", and then there's the pharmaceutical companies...

Two absolutely hilarious lines in that. I almost fell out of my chair with the poly sci line. There's a manager in our office that everyone despises and she has a poly sci degree, so we'll be using that line for sure in the near future. The high school boyfriend line was pure gold as well.

The commercial they made for Radioshack is hilarious!

Starts about 1:40 in.

Big Pharma is deserving of criticism, but science denialists use information like this to throw the baby out with the bath water.

I get so much pushback now from patients needing to stay blood pressure and cholesterol meds now. Everyone seems to want to believe the drug companies are getting them "hooked" on their drugs. Had a man in his 30's newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He believed insulin was keeping him dependant. So on he goes to a health food store where a smart salesman convinces him he can end his insulin dependance by taking chromium. He was in the hospital for two weeks after that.

I suspect Oliver's audience is smarter than that.

Jesus, you would think that someone would do some research on their condition and possible complications before doing something so reckless.

Why research when the smart guy at the health food store knows about the conspiracy you do?

A good segment. There are times when I wish he would stop the kidding around on serious topics, but he did end up relaying this in a digestible way for the average citizen.

Their faux Bail Bonds show tonight had a skyline shot of Calgary ... made me laugh.

... made me laugh almost as hard as when Oliver insulted the Entourage movie.

Exactly.
This was just the classic pharma smear job, though entertaining and pretty well done.

If Flash Walken had a show, it would be Last Week Tonight.

I saw that too, I was thinking; WTF, Calgary doesnt have anything to do with any of tonight's content.

Brilliant show though. Oliver just nails it. I especially liked the chugging of the BL Lime.
