We need to start up a new thread just for discussing Daredevil. It's phenomenal. I thought I was impressed by Arrow, The Flash, Shield.... this is a whole nother level. If you want to stay in this weekend and binge watch anything.... DAREDEVIL is it.
Wow last episode went pretty dark. I really should have known that the little girl was behind the whole Bahrain incident, but I didn't. Very cool storyline though. I was also a fan of the creepy family dinner at the end. Kinda reminded me of the creepy cocktail party from The Walking Dead lol.
quit possibly one of the best episodes of the season and the series last night, and a whole ton of stuff happened that leads into Age of Ultron.
Spoiler!
Both Shields have secrets, New Shield is hiding something in the cargo bay of the carrier, Old Shield has the Theta protocal, I expect that there will be a Avenger's reveal next week.
Gonzalos didn't know that Fury was still alive. Awesome job with that when Coulson handed him the toolbox and said, "Nick Fury will want that back, oh Spoiler alert"
Coulson had a ton of good lines last night, but the Hot Pocket line during the plane crash had me rolling.
The Bus is gone.
Ward tried to make ammends with the team, but they wouldn't take it, in the end he had a chance to murder Simmons after her betrayal, but didn't and he left Agent 33 with Shield to pick up the pieces of her life.
Simmon's was so focused in on killing Ward with a disintegration bomb that she didn't feel a thing when she accidentally killed Wards pet Hydra Agent.
Coulson's mission was to find the location of Struckers base so he could unleash the Avengers.
Raina is now in full manipulation mode, but she had a vision in the end of Loki's scepture and the Avenger's fight against Ultron. Neat lead in.
Bobbi is having her doubts, but May is full on with the new shield and she doesn't trust Coulson.
Hydra is experimenting with inhuman's even Deathlok who was manufactured had alien technology. New Shield is doing the same thing.
The fight scene with Skye against Hydra was one awesome one shot fight that challenges May vs May for fight of the series.
Maria Hill made an appearance from Stark Towers and knows what the Theta protocal is, but May and none of the other team are clued in.
Fitz was great, he's the humanity that Simmons has lost.
Next week could be really interesting

It's awesome to watch this then whatever big marvel movie comes out on the weekend as they tie it in with the show and the story very well. That was an amazing episode and I agree that Skye fight was amazing. Coulson is a great character.

Winter Soldier had a clear and significant impact to TV series. I'm doubting that the events in Ultron will have as much as an impact though. There may be some as a result of the implications to Hydra made in the movie, but otherwise, Coulson and crew are battling a different war this time around.
BTW a shout out to the scene in the last episode where Skye takes down all those Hydra agents. I love when they do single shot fight scenes like that! And Hey her gun even ran out of bullets!

It seemed very much like a scene from John Wick, albeit with less head shots.

Action scenes like that seem to be the trend right now. While I think they tend to be too long, it's hard to express how much much I love this style over the previous trend of split second shots, flailing cameras and closeups that made it impossible to make sense of a scene.
Also, some good episodes. I still can't say I care for the "real Shield" plotline at all though, but I like that they shook up the way Shield is portrayed. Having an actual agency with more than six people working there makes more sense.
Still really dislike Olmoses character. And they seem to have trouble deciding how much of a democracy "the real shield is".
Ward was fun having around. Bobby as a character is really starting to grow on me.
It was great that Skyes plot actually moved forward.
John Wick was a good comparable. I've only seen two episodes of Daredevil so far, but I loved that one scene in the 2nd episode where they do that single shot of him kicking ass down the hallway as well. But yeah wwwaayyy better than the shaky cam style.
Anyway, managed to catch most of last night's episode (luckily OT didn't last that long lol). Thing are about to go down! I'll spoiler tag this one in case people need to stream it today because of the game last night:
Spoiler!
I was sorta right about there not being much impact as a result of Ultron, except for Coulson being re-inducted as Shield director as a result of Theta protocol. I mean that's still a pretty big deal, but didn't affect the over-arching story like Winter Soldier did.
DEFINITELY didn't expect Jia Ying to be the one to instigate a war between Shield and the Inhumans. They totally trolled me into thinking it was Gonzales, especially because of Raina's vision about their encounter. Well met, writers. Well met. Also, solid foreshadowing from Simmons regarding Ward. I didn't think that would come back to bite her in the butt for another few episodes, but I guess they fast-tracked that a bit.
Kinda OT: In the post-game thread, I saw a gif of the actress who plays Jia Ying in a bikini striking a pose. That threw me off lol.
100% agree that things are about to hit the fan. I'm pretty happy with how things are going with the show and love the that unexpected things seem to happen on a regular basis.

That was an amazing episode and had a lot of jaw dropping moments
Spoiler!
Mack quit he doesn't trust Coulson and his damn alien blood
Turns out that Ward and his wacky girlfriend aren't looking for redemption after all as the kidnapped Bobbi, I would assume they're going to brain wash her and send her back.
Simmons is becoming a full born psycho
Coulson was re-appointed as director of shield but answers or answered to the counsel lead by Gonzolas.
Oh wait, Gonzolas is dead, Skye's mom pulled the unexpected move of exposing him to the mist, killing him and then shooting herself to start a war between Shield and the Inhumans. She didn't like the idea of the index. They are starting to set up for the Inhumans movie
The Theta protocal was the helicarrier
The thing in the cargo hold of the ship is what appears to be a kree weapon that is a threat to the inhumans.
Raina tried to manipulate her way into power and got busted.
Cal was turned over to shield as a sign of good will and they took his vials, I'm assuming the vials give him some control over his violent urges.
The two hour season finale looks like it could be awesome

Those vials are what give him his crazy strength/rage powers, I'm assuming next EP he goes full Jekyll smash mode. "Turning him over" was part of the trap/plan

Spoiler!
I was hoping that those vials would represent Banners "big bag of weed" that they would allow him to keep his emotions under control, and once he didn't take him then we'd really see the crazy

Was Raina really being manipulative though? She said bad things would happen if Shield and Jia Ying met and, lo and behold, bad things happened.
I'm just wondering if that was a vision of just a lucky guess.
Raina has been a manipulator throughout the whole series, she uses the truth to manipulate though.
How many of her "She's had a vision" speeches are really her having a vision.
She wants power, so she says, oh my god something horrible is going to happen if Jia meets with Shield. But she doesn't have a vision that she's going to fail.
