Another dead character comes back to life as Sunil Bakshi returns, in the real world he's a long dead Hydra goon, in this version he's Hydra's version of Bill O'reilly, including a scene where he completely hits on a female co-worker, that wasn't accidental and pretty well done.
Daisy became Quake and basically celebrated it by throwing Aida/Ophelia out a window breaking her back. In the frame work she's human, I kept expecting her to get up terminator like, but nope, she's paralyzed in the frame work.
The looking glass device that Hydra is developing is actually being built in the real world on the oil rig owned by Ivanov. The looking glass device will allow Aida to build a human body which will allow her to circumvent her programming and kill all of the main characters in the show, her current "Limitation forces her to protect them all except for Simmons and Daisy who are a threat to the Frame Work.
The relationship between Fitz and his father is complicated and we saw his dad's real character as Radcliffe basically told him that in the real world he abandoned Fitz and became a drunk and a loser after which Radcliffe was beaten within an inch of his life. So what's complex, in a scene after Fitz is told that the Shield agents escaped he threw a hissy fit and his dad dressed him down about it forcing Fitz to take a step back. After that though, Fitz informed him that he wouldn't tolerate his failure in finding the Shield fugatives.
All of the main characters have decided to leave the framework and it was decided that before they went they would release the footage of the destruction of the enlightenment center and the death of the Patriot.
This episode was about the very complex relationship between Grant Ward and Daisy. He learned that he can't go with them to the other world and he lamented that he was such a son of a bitch in the real world. Daisy basically told him that by what he had done here that there was clearly some good in real Grant. Ward then decided to pull off the suicide play and stop Hydra from stopping the broadcast. We then learn that people have gathered in front of the station to fight Hydra. The Revolution seems to have begun.
Meanwhile Fitz asked crippled Aida if he could go with her to the real world and she agreed, I think its going to be really tough to redeem him if he leaves the framework and tries to kill the shield agents in the same world.
At the same time Ivanov tells Aida in the real world that he has discovered the whereabouts of Daisy and Simmons on the Shield Jet and he's going to shoot it down.
This was a plot heavy episode with a real key focus on Ward. I can't help but think that this is the end for him and he had a great moment where he asks Daisy if he can have his Daisy back.
There were some great fight/action scenes in this episode as well, and the scene where Ophelia is blown out the window was really well done.
At the start of this series I think we all thought that Chloe Bennett was a weak actress, but she's really grown into this role. I also wanted to say that Mallory Jensen has been outstanding as Aida, and her goal isn't completely evil as she merely wants to become human and be treated as an equal.
On another note, I really hope that this show is renewed, its now gotten to the point where this season and last season have been really strong, and on top of that Phil Coulson's character really deserves a send off season.
BTW as an addon there was a really neat little easter egg for Bill Paxton in this one as during a news broadcast on the info line it noted the passing of American hero John Garrett, it was a really nice touch from the writers. RIP Bill

I'm guessing the device will be built and given how they always find some way to bring back old characters, somehow Ward will be back permanently as part of Shield.
You know, I thought about that, well originally I thought that they would throw his coding into a LMD.
But I don't think that's going to happen, this is the villains redemption, but it won't be complete without the sacrifice. Somehow Ward is going to save the day and die, because I don't think people will want to see this character when the original one was so damn evil and good at it.
However, my gut feeling is that Mac's daughter is the one that's going to be saved.
And then become next years Big Bad.

I like how once again they threw a little jab at Trump with Coulson speaking on "alternative facts".
Also, it actually gave me chills at the end when Coulson flashed that badge and said "I am Phil Coulson, and I am an Agent of Shield." So guuuudddd
There were actually a lot of shots at trump in this one. The scene where Bakshi is talking to that girl about furniture shopping it was a shot at both O'reilly and at Trumps "Grab er by the . . . ." leaked tape.
And yeah I loved the Coulson speech. I also really liked that one small thing Victoria Hand instead of John Garrett recruiting Ward created a whole new Ward

Another strong episode that essentially it feels like wraps up the Framework

This was a really intense episode as they keep piling up the cracking points for the major characters
On the plane where Simmon's and Daisy's bodies were being held we learned taht the Frame work integration uses a lot of power and Yo Yo is forced to decide to turn on the planes cloaking and guns which leaves them vulnerable.
There were a lot of really good character moments, as Coulson tries to convince May of the real world and somehow talks about making soap and coming across as a crazy guy.
Tripp realizing that he was a person in the other world and that he didn't date Daisy or Simmons.
There were also some really awkward moments, the exchange between Daisy and Hope was like a sledge hammer reminder that she isn't really Mack's kid.
Anyways this episode was all about tragedy and near tragedy.
We learn that there is a full blown rebellion against Hydra and our team is going to find the backdoor left by Radcliffe so they can escape hell.
Meanwhile Fitz being the evil jerk that he is basically offers Radcliffe what he's always wanted which is immortality via using the body building machine. Radcliffe pretty much sells his soul and tells Fitz where the portal is.
Meanwhile Simmons desperate to save Fitz learns that Aida's modification in Fitz's life is his father so so goes to confront old Daddy Thug and forces him to call Fitz to come to his house so she can confront him. In the ensuing struggle Simmons shoots Daddy while Fitz hears the whole thing over the phone and becomes determined to get his revenge (But seriously when has this whole hold a hostage and tell a person to come alone ever worked?)
They finally find the back door but Aida has changed it from a water fountain in a abandoned park to a vat of molten metal in the middle of a steel plant.
Lady Hydra meanwhile realizing that Fitz is going to chase the Shield team down and possibly get pulled back into the real world begins the process of building her body and transferring herself to it.
The whole returning to the world is harrowing as Daisy basically parts the Molten metal so the Shield team can jump through. Coulson gets gunned down before he can jump but he tells May that she has to have faith that its going to work before he falls through and wakes up in the real world.
May follows him through and they wake up in the oil well facility and see Aida is strapped in, Phil grabs a scalpel and we see the machine building her body so its the TADA race against time now.
Gemma is about to go through when Fitz confronts her with Radcliffe. Fitz accuses her of killing his father and that she means nothing to her, but she tries to apologize. Fitz then tells her to get on her knees and when she refuses he brutally knee caps her. Puts a gun to her head and demands that she tell him that she means nothing to him. But at that point in his moment of redemption Radcliffe throws Fitz through the portal and Fitz wakes up on the other side.
This was the tragedy of the events as Fitz is overcome with guilt and when the team tries to tell him that he basically killing Xs and O's he realizes that he killed real people like RadCliffe's old love and Mace. You can feel the misery rolling off of him and the guilt and the anguish.
One thing that I forgot was as each person went through the portal there was almost like a reset of the Framework in that world.
Ok the last two Mack and Daisy have a long conversation and though Mack realizes that Hope isn't real, and Hope isn't around in the other world Mack decides to stay in the FrameWork. He returns to the Shield base where he and Tripp talk to Hope about Kansas as in the wizard of Oz.
Daisy returns to the real world as the Shield Jet is basically burning.
Meanwhile Aida comes into the room and we see that Coulson had sawed the head off of the Robot. She's real and she's excited and she clearly really loves Fitz. May pulls a gun to kill her but AIDA is flesh and blood and can teleport like that Inhuman from a couple of years ago. She takes a overwrought Fitz with her.
Random thoughts
We didn't see Grant Ward in this episode so his final heroic ending might have been last week
The Framework is still active with Mack inside, have they written him out of the show, or is tragedy going to hit in a out of control framework and an event will force him back into the real world?
Fitz's dad was a complete thug until the end.

I was surprised how quickly they all got out. Loving the break-neck speeds of these story pods. How many episodes do they have left in the season? I feel like the Framework is nowhere near resolved still and there probably aren't enough episodes left in the season to start a new pod, but now that AIDA is out and is a legit Inhuman, I'm super excited to see how they wrap up this season. SO MUCH HAPPENINGS

My guess and we're probably past the spoiler stage, that shield will somehow keep the framework going because of Mack being in there and even if they don't go back to it for a bit, they can offer us glimpses of Mack's life and Trip as the Patriot.

Its funny because Aida's whole mandate before she was corrupted by the DarkHold was to protect and preserve life, if was even her mandate to do that when they were in the Framework to an extent.
Now that she's out and not constrained by her programming and no longer that thing that was trapped in the closet, is she going to continue to be evil? She seemed so happy to be feeling these emotions when she saw Fitz, and its clear that she was feeling what we can only class as positive emotions, Joy, love (She clearly loves Fitz). Is she the true big bad now, or is it Ivanov the evil rebuild cyber Russian.
And here's a weird thought.
What if we don't see Fitz for the rest of the season, or Aida? What if they cliff hang the story of those two for the next season. What if there's a possibility of redemption for both of them. What if Fitz's redemption is saving Aida?

Considering that Ivanov's goal to exterminate all inhumans hasn't changed, I would love to see him be the one that takes the new Aida down.

They showed in one episode where Fitz was torturing potential inhumans. Including that Senators brother. I thought that Hydra was creating an army of inhumans and that's why they had that education facility.
But he was collecting inhuman DNA.
She could literally have every power possible now. I wouldn't be surprised if she had Daisy's power as well.
Part of me would be sad to see her go because Mallory Jenson has been doing such an amazing job.

Did I read correctly that this will be the last season?
That hasn't been decided yet.
The consensus because of its marvel links is that it will probably get a final season even if its abbreviated to introduce the expected inhumans TV series that's slated to start next year.
I would think that is likely to get a close out on its own terms.

There was also the scare of a writer's strike for a bit, which would have put SHIELD in grave jeopardy, but apparently that's since been resolved.

Pretty heavy stuff.
In theory they could make a body for anyone with that machine. We could we Ward, Tripp AND Hope in the real world. I get a feeling that we maybe only other person coming out of the Framework. My money is on Ward, but I would love to see Tripp come back, personally.

I keep thinking that Ward is pretty much done, there's nothing more to his story, we've actually seen his redemption.
I would like Tripp back, he's a fun character but I can't see him coming back unless Mac isn't. Hope I could see however and bear with me.
There's no way that Shield can let that machine survive, Basically Aida could bring an army of the worst that Hydra has to offer into the real world. Think of all of the inhumans that they captured, think Abomidation from the second Hulk movie who we know Shield has locked away.
I can really see two battles happening in the next two episodes one in the Framework with Trip and Mack and Ward leading the way and one in the real world.
While it would be nice to see something nice happen to Mack where he comes out with Hope in the real world, I doubt that they can bring Hope into the real world and keep Mack on the show, because logically there's no way he would stay with Shield if he has his daughter to take care of.
So what if we look at it this way.
The rebellion continues in the Frame Work and Trip, Mack and Ward are losing.
Maybe Aida is going to bring across more freaks to the real world.
Ward and Trip convince Mack to go back to the real world to help because in the real world Aida is winning as well.
Mack goes back for that battle and during that battle Aida starts generating soldiers, the hero's have to destroy the machine.
Mack realizes that he can't bring Hope back.
Aida's body gets defeated but somehow Aida is still alive as an AI using the Frame work to cause destruction, the only chance to save humanity is to destroy the frame work.
Mack goes back temporarily and tells Trip and Ward that they have to destroy the Triscalian (or however its spelled).
Mack knowing he's going to lose his daughter tells her he loves her. And then in pulled out to the real world against his choice. as Ward and Trip blow up the center of the framework and kill the Framework.

First of all rumor has it that Shield is being renewed, which is good new for a show that's really hitting its stride
Some thoughts

This episode was heart breaking for me and there were lots of weird emotions to it.
First of all, there are lots of Ivanov androids out there, Phil and May killed a few after May shot herself up with Adrenalin, it was kind of funny seeing her go completely mental.
Aida has full emotions, and you can actually feel sorry for her and happy for her. Little things like standing with her feet in the sand were over powering her.
Fitz is really suffering with balancing both of his lives, he came to the conclusion that his relationship with his father made him exactly like Grant Ward.
Ivanov destroys his undersea base and Phil and Yo Yo can't save Mack from drowning, but Fitz convinces Aida that saving a life is the right thing to do and she saves him and later declares it the best feeling that she's ever had.
Like I said I actually had a lot of sympathy for Aida especially with what happens next.
Gemma stuns Aida and Fitz and puts them in the containment room together. Its at that point that Fitz begins to come to terms with his evil life and that he has probably killed the love that Gemma had for him. But he makes a choice that he can only have Gemma in his heart and rejects Aida.
Aida who is unprepared for negative emotions goes off of the reservation and though the containment room keeps her from teleporting she has all of the powers and finds her way out.
At the same time General Talbot shows up and accuses the Shield team of being fricken robots and Instructs his team to shoot C3PO (Phil) if he so much as moves.
At this point we get the horror movie montage as Aida starts killing everyone.
She goes to attack Fitz in her rage and she's shot like 30 times. I've said before that Mallory Jensen has done an amazing job as Aida and when she's shot you can really see the anguish and pain and rage as she goes down, but being basically the inhuman she rises again and returns to Ivanov and we learn that his plan is to rebuild the world using the Darkhold to be a world like the one in the Framework where Inhumans are hunted.
Aida who is drinking now (Like I said she is unprepared for negative emotions) declares that the plan is too clean and that everyone needs to suffer like she's suffering. She then gleefully kills the Ivanov Robot.
At the same time we find out that Yoyo has gone after Mack in the Framework. She wakes up strapped to a table in a flaming room
The last scene has a portal open in the wreckage of the Shield base and Ghost Rider returns.
Some random thoughts.
Again I can't say enough about Mallory Jensen, she's amazing in this role.
I felt oddly sorry for Aida especially when she was rejected by Fitz, she worked so hard to get free choice and opened herself up to these emotions and she can't handle them.
A surprising line from May after they capture Fitz and Aida and Yoyo volunteers to go in and cut her head off. May states that there's been enough killing. I think she feels a lot of regret over Mace's death.
Speaking of which Shield is a terrorist organization again. Apparently Ivanov crushed Mace's bones with a hammer and left him for shield to find so they think that Daisy killed him.
The whole Talbot robot dialogue was really well done because this was a grim episode with very little humor.
Fitz confessing that he was exactly like Ward is a bit of closure for Fitz who was basically handicapped for a long time and couldn't forgive Ward.
Aida grabbing and chugging a bottle of Vodka while planning to basically destroy the world while looking at Ivanov with blood shot eyes from crying was powerful to me, her ability to murder that droid to make herself feels better shows the cost of her gaining her humanity. The one thing about her programming is that she was built to save lives, she's now beyond her programming.
The Darkhold according to Ivanov has some funny phrases in it. But it can build worlds.
This has been a great season with the finale next week.

I thought just before he orders the sub to shoot down the base they were loading some heavy equipment into the sub. I thought that might be the creation machine. I expected that Ivanov would ensure that he saves anything that could reconstruct his body and make him human again.
On another note I am very excited to see the return of Ghost Rider. Fitting that he caps off the season instead of just a first pod and gone. He is the only one strong enough (in the SHIELD characters) to fight the Darkhold.
Now that Aida is human/inhuman I expect she also has a "soul". With all the evil she has done I would think she is ripe for a pretty devastating Penance Stare.

Mallory Jansen is just killing it this season. That was such an emotional rollercoaster she put us on! From robot to happy feels to rageahol in such a short time span.
