Honestly, why mess with chemistry. Wait until this group loses before making changes to that 4L. Leave Bennett & Czarnik in the press box. Send Rinaldo back.

Well, Rinaldo has been a key contributor in some of the wins.

But Ward has found reasons to make changes, and thus far he is batting 1.000

So, why mess with what Ward is doing and let him do it?

If I were Geoff Ward, I wouldn't mess with the chemistry. Rinaldo has been good in spot duty. That might be the only change I would make because I had to.

But you're right, the guy is making all the right moves. Going to be interesting to see how he handles the roster.

Bennett in for Jankowski is the only thing that makes sense IMO when Benny is ready to go.

Jankowski has been playing his best hockey of late. Reading the plays and showing a hightened confidence with the puck. He deserves to stay in IMO.

Like others have said, why try to fix what isn't broken unless an injury forces Wards hand. Things are going gold right now.

Look, I get he has played better as of late but he has one damn assist on the year. You don't keep Sam Bennett out of the lineup for that. He kills penalties? Whoop, so does half of the rest of the roster. I was as big a supporter as anyone for Janko but he is a bust. He certainly should not be in the lineup ahead of Bennett once he is good to go.

I think point taken on Janko disappointment, but practically speaking, you are undervaluing how key our PK has been to this streak, and I think you are undervaluing the impact Janko makes to that PK. Noticeably worse without him, and don't forget adding Bennett to the line up automatically means and extra 2 PP against us per night (the guy can't not take dumb penalties)..........making the PK even more important.

I couldn't be happier that the top three lines have remained consistent for a few games now. Previous lines made little sense, and it shows with the balance of play we are seeing.

Heck at this rate do we even need Bennett anymore? I feel like once he draws back in our PIMs will go up

If Bennett is 100% and the roster is the same I take Reider out, without hesitation.

Why Rieder? He has as many points as Bennett does and has been noticeably good.

Jankowski is the first guy out, IMO.

Bennett gets a chance to shine playing for Ward. If he can’t get his game going this year he’s probably gone.

Kristen Anderson @KdotAnderson

(purple Gatorade alert)

Geoff Ward on #Flames LW Johnny Gaudreau: "He's coming to the rink, he's enjoying being around the guys every day. And you can see it. He's smiling on the bench. He's got the Gatorade going again. For him, there is no burden on his shoulders now."
