They don't hate immigrants, mostly they hate the fact that nothing of note is British any more, that despite constantly being told the UK is a great country it is clear the country is in decline, in the end it is easier to blame the EU than the muppets that actually run the UK, this is the equivalent of Germany feeling they didn't lose the first world war and so setting up the resentment that produced Hitler

Most Brits dont travel and have never been more than 20 miles from where they were born. They are still very rural and entrenched in the towns and supporting their local 8th division soccer team. Globalization and a passport mean nothing compared to the scary stream of immigrants coming to take their town.
Like in Alabama.

At least now the Brexit referendum v2.0 is complete and the outcome is the same.
Also hopefully Corbyn gets the message he is useless, unelectable, and has led a once strong party to complete and utter defeat. Even though he announced his resignation tonight, he should have done it months/years ago.

More Brexit muddling. Turned out voters just wanted Brexit settled, and not another year of wrangling and another referendum.

I think the manifesto Labour rolled out would have harmed the economy more than anything the Tories will do.
that thing was a joke, and rightfully trashed from pillar to post.
add in the hate for jewish people and labour was doomed.

That's a pretty weak excuse. Especially now that they know leaving the EU will be terrible for their economy.
Just wanting it "settled' doesn't change the impact.

It's more that the markets hate uncertainty. It wouldn't have mattered who was elected as long as it looks like stability. A majority government from a party saying what they will do with Brexit provides a lot of that.
