A little late to the party but Carcassone is super simple, cheap and fun.

The Mind. It is a co-operative card game. Really simple to play and lots of fun. It can go fairly quickly and you'll want to play again.

We just got Feast For Odin and it's great. I've never been into board games whereas my wife has always played. It has taken me a bit to get into it and understand it all but now I'm hooked. Love it.

That’s an unusual one to hook you. If that makes you a fan of Uwe Rosenberg, he is one of top designers out there. Check out Caverna and Agricola, probably his most famous. Agricola is also playable on iOS

When I say never been into board games I guess I should change that to never really played board games other than things like Risk and Monopoly and the usual ones you play as a kid when your parents aren't gamers. But yeah this is pretty fun. I do suck at it though.

I just got Caverna over the weekend and I am excited to play it. I was not a fan of Agricola and wound up selling it but it seems that Caverna will fix the issues that I did not like.

Agricola does suffer from a heavy luck factor, if they balanced the Improvements and Jobs, It would probably be much better. Some days though, I enjoy the randomness of the cards.

We also have now started playing Suburbia and I love it. I've been missing board games my whole life apparently.

Default What is your favorite board game?

Got the kids (6 and 4) a bunch of games this Christmas and they love them.

Stuffed Fables: fun little dungeon crawler, but the game plays a little slow for my 4 year old. 6 year old is loving the story and can’t get through the battles fast enough to hear more. I think it’s because she can relate to the story (moving to a big bed, stuffies, favourite blankets etc). The production is well done and has made me want to paint the minis.

Rhino Hero Super Battle: 4 year olds favourite game. Loves building the towers and loves it when it falls over even more. Quick to setup and play. Would be even good with adults and a few wobbly pops.

Dinosaur Tea Party: A much better version of guess who. Can play with more with than two people which is nice for our family of 4. My 6 year old is wanting to play this game constantly. Nice visuals on the cards and little helper tokens have really helped my young kids figure/deduce the choices on their own.

Gnomes at Night: simple co-op game where you work together with a magnetic gnome trying to get as many treasures as possible. Tough for my 4 year old as he has trouble communicating his directions, but we started using fingers to point which way we need the other player to go and that helped big time. Simple setup and good to help kids learn directions

The amount of great kids games that are more than just snakes and ladders, candyland, etc. really is awesome. So glad I’ve gotten into this hobby as I think my kids are gonna love playing these unique and fun titles.

Picked up Mysterium on sale for my wife. Watched a few YouTube videos on it. Seems like it could be a good, easy to learn/play for some of our larger get togethers. Probably will try it New Year’s Eve

Jaws was my favorite of the year. Such a fun family game.

I wouldnt doubt the popularity of Stranger Things has spiked an interest in D&D.

Playing it with drafting mitigates this a fair bit, particularly at lower player counts.

Played Dune yesterday with five other people - easily the best board game experience I've had yet. What a fantastic game!

Played Brass for the first time yesterday. It's a candidate for a spot in my top 5 games.
