Maybe Felix is just an indoor specialist? His results on outdoor hard courts haven't been all that great over the last year.
Felix was up 4-5 and love-30 on the Cerundolo serve. To lose that set 7-5 is pretty shocking. Now on to clay season, but that loss is a tough pill to swallow.
Wow that's pretty bad. What happened to the guy that was ripping up the indoor season? I really thought he had turned the corner but it looks like he may need more time.

Yeah, every so often Felix brings out a clunker like today, but I think we have to give credit to Cerundolo especially in the 1st set, he was playing very well. That's the thing though, Felix was terrible and yet he should still be out playing in set 3.
I think it's more that every so often Felix gets on a streak and plays like a top 5 player. But he has so far been unable to stay at that level for very long.

He needs to fix his backhand (11 errors on that wing today). Hugh Clarke has previously documented it, but here's a youtube video that really showcases a flaw in his technique.

Another big upset today as Mannarino just sent Hubi Hurkacz packing in two tie-breaks (bageled Hubi in the second set tie-break). The good news is that no 3rd set is required which means Bianca is up shortly.
Bianca broke back when Alexandrova was serving for the opening set at 5-4 and then consolidated the break. I think the Russian just destroyed her racquet as well.
This just really sucks, even though she dropped the opening set, Bianca was the better player and was up a break in set 2 when the match had to be halted. Just when she's getting back to her top form, she's on the shelf again.

I don't watch Tennis very often, but when she went down and screamed "I've never felt this kind of pain before" -- OOF did that pull at the heart strings. Hope she makes a full recovery.
The Stanimal turns 38 today, what's your favorite memory from one of the best tennis players of his generation? For me has to be the 2015 French Open final against Djokovic, probably the best non-Nadal level on clay we've seen in decades.
