Well at least Bianca cashed that major in. Things sure have gotten pretty bleak for Canadian tennis considering how much optimism there was 4-5 years ago. Felix's regression this year is particularly alarming.

I said this some time ago, but I think it's time for a new voice in Felix's camp. I think that stretch of fine tennis in late 2022 by Felix bought Frederic Fontang some time, but it's clear that it's no longer working. It also makes you wonder how a coach can allow such a technical flaw in Felix's two-handed backhand last so long without making some kind of adjustment.

He was playing poorly prior to the injuries and I don't buy that the knee played a role in him spraying his forehand all over the court today. Something happened to him when the calendar hit January. I'm actually becoming more concerned about Felix than Shapo as at least Shapo can win the odd match these days against opponents he should beat. Felix can't beat anyone right now on any surface.

As is Coco Gauff to Sofia Kenin (Kenin up a break in set 3).

By the way, this Kenin - Gauff match is really good.

Edit: Kenin serving for the match up a double break at 5-2 in set 3. Kenin is picking on the Gauff forehand which is a well documented weakness.

Kenin takes it 6-4 4-6 6-2. That form by Kenin was reminiscent of the Aussie Open of a few years ago.

How can a LL have a better game plan than a top 10 player? He didn't even know he was playing until yesterday. He knew to keep the ball low on grass.

FAA and Shapo right now are just aimless ball bashers

I think Felix is not nearly 100% physically and if it wasn't Wimbledon he wouldn't even have played.

And here I thought the Aussie Open was the happy slam...

Visitors reported people emerging from the prayer rooms, which are at the back of Court 12, with "sheepish" smiles on their faces.

Describing one couple, one spectator said: "This couple disappeared inside, locked the door and they were gone for ages. I had time to finish two Pimms while they were in there. The sign on the door said ’engaged'.

"When they came out they were laughing away to themselves. She was in a long flowing summer dress and there was no doubt as to what they had been up to."

With all the rain going on today, it's anybody's guess.

Oh God...

Been to Melbourne Park three times, never had sex inside the grounds. Sad.
