No parent should ever outlive their child. So sad for anyone in that situation.

My Wife and I lost a child at about the same number of weeks. Was a devastating experience for her, especially as it happened while she was working as a nurse in the ER. Her coworkers were great but it was really tough for her to go back to work.

Hopefully they can come through this with the support of their friends and family but it is not something I would wish on anyone. I wish them all the best.

My friend dealt with one recently and this is exactly how she felt. Feel so horrible for her and that time was not an easy time for her.

Many posters here know my past, this devastating news rips off bandages of wounds that will never heal. I know and understand all too well what the Kane family is going through. My thoughts are with them. Eva is looking over them now.

Time go hug my two kids that are here.

My wife and I went through a miscarriage
The wounds never fully heal. It becomes part of who you are as a person, individual and family.
I take comfort knowing that if we had not gone through that, we would not have my daughter. All paths lead to her - which is what matters to me.
It happens to a lot of families, and is talked about not enough. And when it is talked about some of the things people say are so ignorant.

Damn that is tragic. This is a good reminder that even if we don't like someone they are still humans who suffer from the same tragic circumstances as everyone and deserve our deepest sympathies.

I have noticed in recent times the topic of miscarriage becoming less taboo. Hopefully stories like this helps to further reduce the stigma and allows those who are also suffering to talk about it and receive support from friends and family.

People go through it in many different ways. I think it's also important to voice that it's okay if it's not a life-changing tragedy for you. I had a big fight in the past because certain family members made me feel as if I wasn't feeling sad enough about the whole thing.

Maybe some people appreciate the effusive condolences. But for some, it can instill a shame that you don't feel like you need the condolences, and you wonder what is wrong with you.

For what it's worth, I really like your attitude - "All paths lead to her". Absolutely. Bang on.
