Maybe I can just wait until Monday for BB to deliver. I'm so impatient.

I've got my IPS at home, and grabbed a spare TN from work, both LG, both around the same age. The IPS is so so much better.

Wait longer and get a 32" version?

https://www.redflagdeals.com/deal/co...gularly-80999/

32" at that resolution I don't think is great, but hard to argue with that price.

I have a few of this one and absolutely love it. Like someone said it's the single best upgrade I've made in the last few years

So i'm annoying my wife and just getting the MSI as well. If the ASUS comes in a week and it performs reasonably better for the extra 100 bucks ill keep that.

I'm so high maintenance with my returns.

Ill report back in a few hours my thoughts on the MSI

Yeah, the 32" and WQHD would drive me nuts. Great deal though. Reading the redflag comments people are talking about it taking months to get stuff, though. Thanks for the heads up tho

I'd prefer 34 but 32 is fine. The big benefit of that unit is 400 nits brightness, which is excellent for a monitor.

My initial impression is I am super impressed for a 480 dollar monitor. Everything looks really sharp and the colours are really accurate for a VA panel.

Civ 6 looks really incredible with a 1440 res @ 27".

Really pleased so far.

Edit:Liking it so much I deleted the asus from my shopping cart

edit 2: installed the MSI software and enabled the 165 refresh. its astonishing. what a purchase.

Well, I noticed that the viewing angles really bother me. So I have the asus coming Wednesday.

My wife just shakes her head at me now when I do this.

Anywho.

Way back when I got a Dell U2410 IPS monitor I went through like 3 or 4 of them before I got one that didn't have too much back light bleed. The one I kept looked like it'd had been opened I'm pretty sure they decided to stop just sending me random ones and inspect it before sending it to me.

But it's worth while, that was over 10 years ago and my kid now uses that monitor. I don't mind spending extra time and money and being picky on something that will last a long time.

I have to say, the logitech Z 5500 is still the gold standard for audio in books. The pre amp and the thunderous bass is just beautiful.

I bought my 3rd set on marketplace today. Picked up some JBL bookshelf speakers and have a pretty rockin' 2.1 setup for my computer. I don't know if there will ever been computer speakers as good as they, ever again.

Yeah dedicated computer speakers aren’t a big seller these days. There are great powered bookshelf speakers available for a decent price.

I'm still using that monitor, 10+ years and it's still trucking along without even a dead pixel. I've been planning on upgrading it for awhile now, but new house trumps all so until that's done this will continue to be my main screen

Yeah the Dell U2414Hb was the first IPS panel I bought, and it's such a stellar monitor. Mine is still trucking from like 2011 as a tertiary screen.

I've had a Razer Blackwidow keyboard for over 6 years now and was considering replacing it as it was getting pretty worn down. Keys were fading and sticking, grime was everywhere and too much of a pain to clean, etc. Then I stumbled a set of Razer replacement keycaps on Amazon and decided to try them out

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

De-capped my entire board, gave it a good brush down, then put in all the new caps and spacer bars. It feels like a brand new keyboard now, much more responsive and the keys themselves feel great. Definitely worth the $40 vs. spending $150+ on a new comparable keyboard, and the keycaps are compatible with most mechanical keyboards so even if you don't use Razer they might be worth looking into

A friend of mine told me that razer was garbage. I said their opinion was garbage. The huntsman TE and the Lancehead wireless are incredible.

I ordered the 32" Dell that was posted on RFD a few days ago, so thanks to photon for sharing it. I'm not too worried about the Pixels Per Inch since my current monitor (Samsung S27E510C) is 81 PPI versus the Dell's 93 PPI.
