Collection of Mana for the switch is a good pick, its 3 games in one. Trials of Mana is one of the games (known as Seiken Dentsetsu 3 in Japan) which has been emulated and translated to English.
The story in Trials of Mana is a bit contrived and tacky, but the combat system is brilliant. Real time battles (not turn based or cut scene-y like final fantasy) give it a fast pace, 6 characters to choose from (warrior, grappler, thief, amazon, healer and magician) and best of all, its 2 player cooperative!
There is no manual and very little guidance in the game (no map or quest log) so the learning curve is somewhat high but a great game for it's time.
They've got a full 3D remake of Trials of Mana coming out in April too.

Well, that's good news. Loved the original. I have the imported Super Famicon cartridge still. Me and a friend used to spend weekends playing through it with different setups. Was such a good game. Only thing I hated was the auto-counter attacks a lot of enemies have near the end if you used your level 2 or three specials. Made them somewhat useless.
Looking around my usual video game hang outs makes me think that Animal Crossing is going to be a block buster sales success (even more so than already expected) due to the timing of its release during the self quarantine period and lots of kids being off school for extended periods of time.
They might even do better if Nintendo goes ahead and surprise releases it tomorrow instead of waiting until the 20th.

Honestly, the only thing suddenly releasing tomorrow would do is piss off the people who've pre-ordered online and who won't get the game until Thursday/Friday/Monday anyway and have to watch other people play right away.
There's not actually a whole lot to gain releasing three days early.
Anybody else had the issue where the left joy-con buttons randomly stop working ,but the joystick still does? Man oh man what a frustrating issue, especially during quarantine time.
Couple days ago everything was working fine like always. Then the very next day the left joy-con buttons all stop working. The joystick works fine. But literally none of the other buttons other then the sync button work. WTF. Internet doesn't seem to have any answers other then get a new controller. Nintendo products have always been top quality, but seems like this has happened to quite a few people. My system is up to date, as is the controller. Have un-synced, disconnected, re-synced and reconnected a million times, yet it's still not working.
As someone who really doesn't care much for Animal Crossing or Pokémon, I'm losing interest in the Switch in general.
There are no first party Nintendo games with release dates. Zero. Heck there's only three first party games revealed at all; one of them is an undated Wii remaster, another is likely not a 2020 release, and the last we've only seen a logo of and might not even be a 2021 release. And it looks like the talk of a Nintendo Direct this week was just smoke again. What is this company releasing for their system in the next 6-9 months? At this point it must only be a couple last minute Wii U port announcements? Maybe a random Mario sports game? It's crazy how they've left every non-Animal Crossing fan out to dry, I'm excited for literally nothing on the immediate horizon for Switch.
At least PS4 is going full-bore with great looking games for the next few months.
Nintendo Direct mini shadowdrop. Nothing earth shattering. A few last gen ports and some small stuff.
- May 29 release for Xenoblade Chronicles HD
- A bunch of 2K games, including Bioshock, Borderlands 1 and 2.
- More info and a demo for Bravely Default II (yay!)
- Clubhouse Games out of nowhere
- Next Smash fighter will be an ARMS character.
- Some info about SwSh, but I didn't care enough to keep watching.

Yeah still not a whole lot in that trailer to get really excited about.
Release date for Xenoblade is nice but I'm pretty lukewarm on that series, and it's the same day as The Last of Us Part II, so at best it's gonna wait a bit.
Downloading the Bravely Default 2 demo as we speak. Hoping it's better than Trials of Mana, looked pretty good in that trailer.
I bought Good Job! to play with my kid. Looks exactly like his type of game.
Just picked up Animal Crossing and would love to visit some other islands but I don't have any Nintendo friends... What is a dodo code and anyone care to share theirs?
