I dunno. Most of the time I think Kirsh is telling them "pump up the controversy!"

I'm a pretty open Smith hater, and was annoyed at Wills all season for defending him.
I feel it's fair for Wills to call out people like me now, and I took the calls last night as well deserved ribbing.
Happy to have been wrong (so far).

Not sure what you are referring to but ok.
I would say none of the games yesterday were especially exciting. If the Washington carolina game didn;t get close towards the end I think it would have been right on par with the Flames game.
Just a neutral observer though, as a fan of the team its obviously a different story. I hosted some people over to watch and only the flames fans stayed till the end. 8 pm start times suck by the way.

Then, heard the 'recap' of Wills calls. Wow. That guy is so unprofessional it's unbelievable. One of his calls of Smith's big saves was something along the lines of 'Save by Smith! Take that haters!'. Completely paraphrasing of course - he didn't say haters but he did call out anyone who doubted Smith. WTF Wills? People are allowed to doubt a goaltender when he was playing as bad as he was at times in the season. Be a pro, ignore those who call you out on Twitter, and call a great save a great save. He's really let this feud with Pinder and the fans calling him out get to him and it makes him unlistenable. I know I won't listen to another Flames game on the radio again especially when it's so easy to get the TV stream or other teams broadcasters on your phone.

Ill admit that I really did like wills at first. But I don’t think hrs cut out to be calling a pro league game. Just image how many good broadcasters we could have.

He's just so condescending. Even when I agree with the point he's making, it's painful to listen to him talk down to everybody while throwing in those smug laughs when countering a point. He also interrupts others constantly, even when they are beginning to answer a direct question he asked them.
It makes for terrible radio, so I choose to switch to podcasts whenever he's going lately.

Totally agree. Everything is a loaded question or condescending comment. His latest tweet "Mike-a-Smithrusoff" finished with a "Great omen for the flames". That guy using the word "omen" is loaded in my opinion when combined with ANY praise for Smith. He loves to see failure.
He needs to develop a following quick, or i have to imagine he is not long for this job.

nobody "wants" mike smith to fail
people who are deriding the decision to put smith between the pipes has nothing to do with being anti mike smith and rather being pro-calgary flames and wanting them to utilize the other guy who demonstrably was a better goaltender for the balance of the season
would i rather have rittch in net myself, but there's no single part of me who is unhappy with mike smith being successful and playing out of his mind yesterday, and i suspect this is ryan pinders take as well
i mean if he WANTS smith to fail, then fata him, but i really dont think this is the case

Did anyone attend the Fan960 'Trivia or Dare' at hudsons last night? I qualified for one of the 4 spots before tomorrow's game and am interested in what to expect, more so on the 'dare' side.

Will Nault seems to have really thin skin. Guy gets offended and then goes all defensive on everything. Dude really needs to chill.

Probably working like 55 hours a week for $36k a year, I'd be high strung too.

It boggles the mind that Brad Curle isn't the voice of the Flames. He's so much better than Wills it's not even a fun debate.
