This will be the first in 4 years that I'll be around for Stampede and have always wanted to be part of Stachpede so I'm gonna do that this year for sure!

Looks like Kid Rock is having a concert during Stampede this year.

Apparently alligator has a similar taste and texture to beef. I had the deep fried Oreos last year. They were filthy-good in the best possible way. I wasn't able to find the deep fried coke last year though. Sad times.

I usually only make one trip to the actual Stampede grounds each year. Just to eat all the good food and spend a day at the beer garden.

I might be coming to Calgary for my first ever stampede this year.

I am a little skurred.

I heard a rumour that there will be a rare form of Cowboy at this stampede.. one that now resides in million dollar condo's but claim to still be "country".. I can't wait to see these baffoons--- err I mean authentic cowboys.

I have to be the only person that didn't enjoy the deep fried oreo. Maybe it was the fact that I had to eat the majority of the bag and I had had enough at 1.

Edit: Lousy best friends watching their weight. Too selfish to help a friend eat the rest of her deep fried oreos.

I ate the entire bag of deep fried oreos. They should put them in a bread bowl so I can eat that afterwards.

I think you should fight them relentlessly for ten days straight.

Make sure you do it in a saloon somewhere.

I go to Stampede for one night.

I get my mini donuts, corn dog, enter into the lotteries. Wander around checking out the girls in short shorts and bikini tops.

Then I watch the police dragging away some teenager covered in his own puke.

Grab a beer, threaten to kill someone for bumping into me.

Then I go home.

Bringing the GF for her first ever Stampede this year. Am hoping sightings of drunken redneck jockohomos fighting each other can be kept to a minimum....not going to hold my breath though.

Is there a master list of Stampede Breakfasts out there?

This one is decent:

Or, believe it or not, there is an app for this (FanIn80 will love it) - bottom of the page

The IT industry has really stepped up the number of events out there. Looking at my calendar for next week, it's insane how many events I'm going to. Busier than working!

Shoot me a PM. I'll be at most (if not all) of these vendor events. I even took the week off of work so that it won't interfere with my drinking.

Everyone knows stampede is about drinking as much as you can at corporate parties from 8-12 and then going home to sleep the rest of the day

By all means, show Alberta what a real Cowboy is. Bring your spurs, your horse, your hat, your Green Lantern comics.
