I can see Sutter being interested in a guy like Umberger.

IMO Philly makes the most sense of any team as a trading partner with the Flames for a variety of reasons.

Probably nothing, but at least it makes more sense than potential trade talks with Florida or NJ.

I could see him going after Ian Laperriere..this was rumoured in the summer out of Colorado and I think could be a small lateral move that could help both teams depending on the return.

Umberger is Gunkle approved!

Big, grity forward that can finish. Both centre and LF capability.

Sutter's only fault with him would be he's not from Western Canada.

As much as I would love to have Laperriere, it doesn't make much sense having Laperriere, Prust and McGrats...

I would love to have Laperriere on this team. I just love the way he plays. Moss for Laperriere? Same kinda money but i think he would be more visible than Moss.

Just what the Flames need, another 3rd-4th line grinder who only has 3 goals this season.

NYR - Higgins, Prospal
Philly - Asham, Betts
FLA - Moore
NJ - Niedermayer, McAmmond

I wonder if Philly would go for a Phaneuf-Carter trade. Although that probably wouldn't do much to change the culture of either team.

With all the young offensive weapons the Flyers have up front people jump right to the 36 year old grinder with 3 goals?

A guy like Scott Hartnell would be a good fit with the Flames, he's underperforming a bit this season. He Scored 30 goals last season, contract isn't that unreasonable. Not sure what we would have to give up to get him. Langkow has history with Philly, just speculating obviously.
